Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The host, Martin, is frequently commended for his warm welcome and helpfulness. The cottage’s location is ideal for exploring nearby beaches and the charming town of Narberth, while its tranquil surroundings offer a perfect escape. Thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs, are much appreciated, though not guaranteed. Minor points include the narrow spiral staircase, but overall, guests thoroughly enjoy their stay.
Multiple reviews mention the cottage being spotless, very clean, and well presented, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.
The cottage is praised for its tranquil, secluded setting, proximity to Narberth and local attractions, and beautiful countryside. A few guests note the single-track lane, but this does not detract from the overall positive impression.
Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with special mention of comfy beds, a modern bathroom, and a relaxing atmosphere. The only minor issue raised is the narrow spiral staircase, particularly for taller guests or those with large luggage.
The cottage is described as exceptionally well equipped, with a modern kitchen, hot tub, log burner, conservatory, and even an electric car charging point. Maintenance and attention to detail are consistently praised.
Guests repeatedly mention generous welcome packs and thoughtful touches from the host, such as hampers and local treats. Please note, while many guests received these gifts, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

We recently stayed a week in Tan y Castell Cottage, sadly we wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is in a beautiful country setting restored to a very high standard. The large modern kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need. There was also a very generous welcome pack on our arrival. Martin the owner came to meet us and was very friendly and helpful. He said if we needed anything just to call him, there was no need, we had everything we needed and more. We used the log burner a few nights which made the lounge even more cosy. The bedrooms were both to a very high standard and the beds were so comfy. We loved the bathroom with underfloor plus heated towel rails. There was also an extra large shower. There was a hot tub at the back of the property with bathrobes for our usage in each bedroom. The cottage is less than a 10 minute drive to the beautiful town Narberth, with all its quaint shops. It is also a good base to go to the many beautiful beaches, restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend visiting the Cathedral in St David’s. Also, we found an amazing quirky cafe in Narberth called Stopio, the food is excellent. We had breakfast there twice. The cakes looked so delicious. My husband is coeliac and was spoilt for choice, he was very well catered for. Thank you Martin for a wonderful week’s holiday, we can’t wait to return.
