The village boasts a 13th-century church of St Nicholas and St Teilo, originally called St Nicholas' but changed to St Nicholas and St Teilo at the end of the 19th century when it was found that Penally was the birthplace of St Teilo, a Christian leader in the 6th century. Also on the periphery of the village is Ritec Valley Quad Bikes (2 miles) offering some family fun with trail riding and ‘Arrive and Drive’ options.
