Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Southlands Barn nestles in a quaint courtyard within a 5-minute drive of the beach and the village of Saundersfoot in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A further 10 minutes’ drive along the coast leads to the renowned walled town of Tenby.
This stunning semi-detached barn is all on one level, has oak floors throughout and is full of character. It offers very spacious open plan living with a feature wood burner, exposed beams and ‘A’ frame windows affording magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and valley below. Skilled craftsmanship can also be seen in the stonework that has been thoughtfully restored on the exterior of this barn. Whilst dining al fresco, look out over the unobstructed views from the patio and maybe spot a pheasant or two!
Saundersfoot itself has grown in reputation for its gourmet dining and offers a cluster of fabulous restaurants serving local produce. Take a stroll along the beach after sampling the local delights and experience the wonderful charm that typifies Saundersfoot. Locally there is a host of local attractions for all the family including Folly Farm, Oakwood and Manor House. In Marros there is horse riding, and Tenby has an 18-hole links golf course. Boat trips are also available to Caldey Island, where Cistercian monks welcome visitors to share in its tranquillity. Walking and sea fishing are also available locally. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.

What a lovely place this is. It has a beautiful outlook from the lounge area. Also so many birds to hear as well as hearing two birds that were not native to Pembrokeshire. Also great fun watching the rabbits, especially the 6 baby bunnies. Kept us entertained. Anyway unfortunately when we arrived it seemed as though an awful lot of housekeeping had not been done. I spent nearly an hour cleaning the kitchen counters as well as a lot of the appliances, toaster had old bedcrumbs in it as well as underneath it . There was a saucepan that had i think had been put in the plastic bowl and had stuck on plastic and couldn't be used again. So why was it there?The wooden floors through the lounge/dinning area needed to be brushed or moped. Also a broken bar stools. Again why was it there?The main double bedroom with an en suite had bugs down the side of the bedside table. The bathroom which had a shower had scum on shower glass and mould. The toilet brush had visible poo on the holder as well as a dirty brush. The twin bedroom was relatively clean. The only problem was the sky window had a blind that didn't fit and let light in. The main bathroom was again quiete clean but there was problems with the tiles on the floor not fitting properly. On the outside of the apex of the building there was a loose tile which if it came off could injure someone. I dont know if the property had been missed having a clean?But as much as it was in a lovely place I dont think it was at all up to standard.
