Wdig Wen is a traditional Pembrokeshire cottage situated in a stunning location, down a short lane off the ancient pilgrim's road from St Davids to St Davids Head. Through the shuttered windows in the cottage and from the landscaped gardens, there are fabulous sea views encompassing Skomer Island, rugged Carn Llidi to Penberi, and beautiful rural moor and farmland of the surrounding area.
Beautifully landscaped gardens surround the charming cottage The patio is in an idyllic situation with sweeping views to the sea, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing with a drink, watching the sun going down on a tranquil summer's evening. Spend a little quiet time, soaking up the magnificent scenery in the magical stone sitting area incorporated in the front garden.
There is ample parking inside a gated area, with plenty of room to the rear to park bikes and surfboards.
Many original features are retained in this charming cottage, the lime mortar roof, original beams solid wood thumb latched internal doors and some original exposed stone.
Step inside into the comfortable snug/dining room, with wood burner and exposed beams, with views to Carn Llidi and beyond to the rear of the cottage, perfect for relaxing after a day's exploring, spending luxurious quality time together.
Up one step takes you to the light and airy, cosy sitting room, with comfy sofas, and tasteful furnishings, TV, and table lamps, filled with holiday ambiance, with stunning views to the rear and uninterrupted sea views to the front.
The inviting cottage kitchen, which is modern and well equipped, will inspire the cooks of the party, although it is so tempting to daydream out of the shuttered windows to the splendid sea views and the craggy mountains to the rear.
On the ground floor is a stylish twin room, with lovely views of Carn Llidi, a family bathroom and spacious master bedroom with elegant ensuite shower room.
The first-floor bedroom, with low beams, suitable for two children sleeping on futons is accessed via a wooden staircase from the kitchen. Panoramic views out to sea, to the front and over the craggy hills and moorland to the rear are enjoyed from here.
Set within a walk of Whitesands Beach and a short drive from other fabulous sandy beaches of North Pembrokeshire, within 1.5 miles of picturesque St. Davids, with cafes, restaurants, the magnificent cathedral, shops and pubs, Wdig Wen is the perfect holiday cottage in any season.
Wdig Wen can be rented together with next door Wdig Cottage sleeping 5 (ref. 1264) and also Wdig Farmhouse, sleeps 6 (ref. 1163). The three properties would be perfect for groups of friends and family to have a big get-together, with endless things to see and do nearby.
