Set on a quiet cobbled street in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby on the Pembrokeshire coast, High House for up to six guests is an ideal choice for a family holiday or couples holidaying together.
Walk just 80 yards from the front door in one direction to stunning south beach, voted Sunday Times Beach of the Year 2019; or in the other direction, wander into the picturesque town centre with its medieval walls, iconic harbour, fishing boats, colourfully painted Georgian houses, shops, restaurants and cafes.
High House is a wonderful place to stay for all ages, all year round, and is stocked with a large selection of wet suits and boogie boards to make the most of its proximity to the beach. For indoor entertainment, the skylight attic room with views over the roof tops of Tenby and the sea is perfect for younger guests, with a Smart television, an X-box 360 games console and board games. The house is furnished, equipped and maintained to an extremely high standard. There is a completely private courtyard with gas barbecue, garden furniture and atmospherically lit old stone walls for enjoying alfresco dining on warm summer's evenings.
There are numerous activities with some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK nearby, costal walks, surfing, the oldest links golf course in Wales, co-steering, rock climbing, abseiling, mackerel fishing, water sports and wet biking. We had a fantastic stay at High House, 6 adults for a birthday. Our welcome hamper was truly delicious, packed with useful and luxury local goods. In fact, the kitchen was pretty well stocked - another unexpected treat! We used the wet room every day, it's superb. The beds were all comfy (can we have the name of the make please!?) and the rooms charming. It was home from home and so close to everything in town but at the quieter end if the street away from the fuss and noise of others. Thank you, we will be back, Rachael and gang

My daughter and I recently spent an enjoyable few days at High House. What a wonderful property, beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you could possibly need and it was spotlessly clean. We had a good nights sleep in the comfortable beds. The welcome hamper with local produce was much appreciated. The owners have thought of everything. High House is in a perfect location for the beach, town and restaurants which are all within walking distance. We would highly recommend High House and can't wait to return soon.

The House is really lovely and in an excellent location in the heart of Tenby's Old Town and a stone's throw from the 2 beaches. The town is full of interesting coffee shops, restaurants and shops. It's a shame we weren't there at a time of year when we could take advantage of the wetsuits and the wet room available! The facilities in the house are great. Smart TVs worked well and the Wi-fi was very good. Loved the bay windows in the upstairs rooms. You will end up going up and down an awful lot of stairs during your stay! Spoke to the owner before arrival and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. Not being able to park immediately outside for any length of time isn't ideal, but that's well communicated before arrival. Using the dedicated parking places in a nearby car park is not a problem and it's only a short walk through the old town to get there. You can park outside long enough to load and unload. Only improvement I could think of would be clearer instructions over what to do with the rubbish. It wasn't clear exactly what could be recycled or what to do with food waste; the instructions seemed to say that the sink waste disposal should be used for absolutely all food waste, but that feels wrong to me as someone not used to using these - I wonder if that just meant make sure that any waste which does go into the sink does go through the waste disposal unit.
