The Captains Hideaway has been beautifully furnished in a nautical theme in keeping with its namesake, the open plan kitchen, dining and living room is light and airy with French doors leading out onto the enclosed south facing garden. This is complete with a patio seating and raised lawned area with a barbecue and firepit, ideal for toasting marshmallows around the fire with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing or for your children to play outside. There is a modern style galley kitchen which is perfect for preparing that special meal which leads onto the beautiful living room with focal wood burner. Each bedroom has been designed with comfort a top priority for a great night’s sleep and offers a fantastic level of comfort throughout.
The historic walled town of Tenby, famous for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and Blue Flag beach, is a 10-minute drive away and perfect for your family to enjoy sightseeing. A visit to the coastal resort would not be complete without a memorable boat trip to Caldey Island, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. A short drive will take you to the seaside villages of Saundersfoot, Amroth Manorbier and Freshwater East where you can sun bath, build sandcastles, search rock pools or just relax with a good book. Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventure, Manor House Wildlife Park and The Dinosaur Park are all within a 15-minute drive and perfect to keep everyone entertained. Beach 5 miles and pub ½ mile.

Beautiful inside and great for families. The garden is also brilliant for children and dogs, we never got chance to use as out of season. Carew Castle is nearby and the Carew Inn serves superb food. Would highly recommend the lasagne best ever. House is in a great area for the theme parks all nearby. Also a great location for all the beaches.

We had a great week at the Captains Hideaway, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed and a short drive from most attractions. Only downside was no local shop, had to drive to for essentials

My dog and I had a lovely stay. My dog was grateful of the welcome gift!The home was well equipped with everything we needed and a lovely secure garden. Arriving and getting into the property was seamless. Bedding was of hotel quality and the towels were good quality too. I was glad of the hairdryer as I had forgotten mine!Bed comfy and the little things like washing up liquid, salt, shower gel, made our stay more enjoyable. These small touches really help on a self catering. We found the area peaceful and a good base to explore the Pembrokeshire coast.
