Please note: There is an unfenced river in the grounds, 220 yards away.. Located on a campsite, this lovely wooden lodge is located in a riverside location and is ideal for guests who enjoy fishing as the property has fishing rights to the River Wye, with salmon and trout, and coarse fishing too (licence required). There are plenty of walks from the lodge and the Brecon Beacons is a 30-minute drive. Guests are welcome to bring kayaks and canoes to use on the nearby river (October-March). The Royal Welsh Showground is only 5 miles and there is a great golf course 4 miles from the property in Builth Wells. The Elan Valley is a 30-minute drive where you will find many walking and cycling trails and an abundance of wildlife. Red kites are found in the Elan Valley and there is a feeding station nearby. Wye Lodge is close to a campsite and also on the National Cycle Network and offers plenty of lanes and hills for those interested in mountain biking. Builth Wells offers a cinema, golf course, swimming pool and plenty of shops and restaurants. Wye Lodge is in the perfect place to relax and listen to the wildlife and the river flowing by whilst watching the sun go down. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The lodge itself for the money is fine. The lodge needs some work shower doesnt drain well, the bath tub side is falling off. Not a sharp knife insight lol Unfortunately our hot tub had not been emptied and filled fresh as we was told and was really not very nice at all. But after speaking to the owner they did empty and fill it without any issues. I do think it could do with a good scrub out to be honest and chemical levels should be checked regularly. The welcome basket is a nice touch but unfortunately the bread given was out of date the day we arrived and we didn't get there till later on so this didnt get used. Perhaps some milk in the fridge would be more useful. The heating wasnt working when we arrived the boiler had kicked out but once that was on it didnt take long to warm up and the place stays very toasty warm.Overall this is a nice location with some lovely walks not to far away. I was a little disappointed that the walk to the pub wasnt as I expected. One of the reasons I booked this lodge was to be able to walk to pub which we couldnt do its all along roads. Which are not safe to walk along or over a trail on a hill but wouldnt do that in the dark. We did visit a local pub for dinner which was lovely the prince llewelyn inn.. very nice 👌 Overall the lodge is fine to stay at and we enjoyed our time away.

Wye Lodge is an absolutely stunning lodge to stay in for short and long stays. The Lodge had absolutely everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. We brought our fur baby and he had the best time, and it was lovely to be able to bring him on our holiday. The hot tub was perfect and exactly what we needed to rest and relax. I couldn't recommend this Lodge more.

Place was lovely Hot tub was nice but the road noise was a bit loud
