  We were greeted warmly by Rob and given useful information about the area and possible walks and driving routes.

  A bottle of wine, Welsh cakes and flowers had been kindly left for us. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean; moreover nothing was lacking. The shower was superb and there was always an abundance of very hot water (in fact so hot that one needs to take care). The mattress was too soft for our liking though this is a matter of personal taste; in any event we slept well. The choice of TV and radio stations on Freesat was amazing, the WiFi worked flawlessly and there was even a good phone signal (O2 network). It was nice to have a DVD/CD player and we used this a few times; an instruction in the information pack on how to change the media source on the TV would have been useful. A large basket of wood had been provided but, despite cold weather, we found no need to light the log burner as the central heating was more than adequate; in fact we didn’t even need this on much of the time as the building is so well insulated. The large wooden deck is great and offers lovely views across the valley to the distant hills. Sadly it was too cold to sit there most of the time but in warmer weather this must be a delightful place to spend some time. We did some very pleasant walks directly from the accommodation and also some touring through the beautiful countryside; we were surprised how hilly and scenic this is, especially to the west. Unfortunately the Red Lion, 0.75 mile away, at which we had hoped to eat, is closed for renovation so unusually we didn’t eat out at all. The Lakeside Café at Llandrindod Wells is a nice place to have a snack or drink. In conclusion this was an excellent holiday with lovely accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting and charming and helpful hosts; highly recommended!

  We would like to say a huge thankyou for our wonderful Christmas break with you at your property you gave us the warmest welcome and you made us feel so at home as soon as we arrived walking into the cottage decorated for Christmas was so special with the tree lights on and lovely welcome gift we loved everything about your cottage everything was thought about a home away from home the kitchen is so well equipped was amazing and the shower was the best shower we've ever used in a sykes getaway we loved hearing the horses next door in the stables and the dogs were so gorgeous we were showed around their other rentals and the standards and finishes are stunning a true credit to you both we would love to return and thankyou for a wonderful festive getaway regards Wayne and maxine

  My wife and I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and booked this stay at the very last minute.

  We simply were amazed by how wonderful this cottage was. The whole feel of the cottage just is that of a comforting hug that just encourages you to slow down and just watch the world go by. Words cannot do justice to the experience. All I can say is that if you need to get away and simply switch off then this is the PERFECT place for you. We will definitely be back. Just a word from our two fur babies to say thank you too!!! We were lucky to have met the owners who were both very welcoming and were incredibly helpful. A 10 out of 10. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with the world.

  The hosts were lovely and welcoming from the beginning to the departure and the whole family were personable.

  They run an immaculate two cottage business and their own also immaculate small holding which meant we could observe their daily activities feeding chickens, ducks, horses, pigs and their well trained (stay at door) cute dogs at our leisure as we relaxed and enjoyed the scenery and general ambience of the location. We saw a woodpecker, starlings and red kite as well as others giving us a fly by and would love to return and try the other cottage too!   We and our dog had a wonderful stay in Buzzards Breg.

  Kitchen well equipped with fridge, electric oven, microwave, kettle and toaster - maybe could do with a second frying pan as only one may be awkward if catering for a fried breakfast for a family, but did us two ok. Boot room was great for a wet dog to get dried off and for storing muddy boots and wet coats. Also there is a small freezer in the boot room which is needed as shops are quite far away. Bed was very comfortable and cottage was warm and views fantastic. Thank you for a lovely peaceful week. Cathy, Trev and Merlin
