It is situated within its own private river and woodland walk stretching over three quarters of a mile with fishing rights for your enjoyment. The village of Llansantffraid is a short walk away and offers various facilities including two good food pubs,two supermarkets,fish and chip shop,Indian Restaurant,cafe and petrol station. The market towns of Oswestry,Shrewsbury and Welshpool are within easy reach as are lake Bala and Vyrnwy and Snowdonia National Park. The Old Beams is a fantastic converted shippon in a beautiful part of Wales.
A village in Powys, close to the Egland-Wales border. Lansantffraidd shows evidence of life from Roman times. It has the River's Cain and Vyrnwy running through it. It has two pubs, a café and a garden centre. The delightful Welshpool is a short drive away, as is the market town of Shresbury which is worth the visit.

The setting is fabulous with excellent views and the visiting birds were great to watch. It is set in a good location to easily explore the many tourist attractions around. The hosts Ian and Jane were very helpful and would recommend this property for short breaks.

The cottage is so comfortable and has everything you need and the owners Jane and Ian are very friendly and helpful, if there's anything you need you only have to ask. It's lovely to sit and watch all the wild birds on the feeder and there's even a visiting pheasant or two. They also have 3 Jacob sheep in a field which come up to the fence to have their heads stroked. It's so quiet and peaceful and at night there's no light pollution so the millions of stars can be seen quite easily. For anyone looking for a restful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life this place is a little bit of paradise and we will definitely be returning.
