Guests have enjoyed the quaint and characterful nature of Bwthyn Llys, appreciating its modern amenities and prime location in the vibrant market town of Machynlleth. The cottage's historical charm and proximity to local shops and attractions are frequently praised, though some guests noted issues with cleanliness in one of the bedrooms and hot water availability.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While most reviews do not mention cleanliness issues, one review noted that the second bedroom did not feel clean, which suggests room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for being convenient and close to the town, with easy access to shops, pubs, and restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
The cottage is described as cosy and quirky, suggesting a comfortable stay. However, its size and the tight corners may pose challenges for those who are less agile, slightly affecting the comfort score.
Facilities are modern and generally appreciated, but the lack of hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sinks and the absence of clear instructions for obtaining hot water indicate some maintenance issues.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

This cottage was far smaller than anticipated - great for two agile people. Very quaint old building with tight corners up the stairs and exceptionally well planned small kitchen using tiny house principles. Lovely old beams and wooden flooring, modern bathroom and kitchen facilities. Second bedroom didn't feel clean and was filled with the single bed. The backyard was filled with multiple recycling bins so that spoiled the limited outdoor seating space.
