The cottage is comfortable and relaxing. It has all the right equipment and facilities and is very clean and well kept. The sitting room is a particularly welcoming room in which to spend the evenings. The friendly and helpful owners live close by but fully respected our privacy. The location is very quiet and rural but there is plenty to do in the general area.

Very well appointed, comfortable, peaceful and welcoming.. The only small thing I would suggest is that the bath ( which was very welcome after a long days walking) does not have any grab handles to assist in getting out. Even for able people like ourselves, this may need some thought.

What a beautiful place to spend a romantic New Year. Blacksmiths Cottage is well equipped and the owners are so very welcoming. We were grateful for the generous hamper on arrival. Close enough to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants but secluded enough to get away from it all and snuggle up in front of a gorgeous log fire. We will definitley be back.
