Hope Hideaway is exactly what its name promises — a true hideaway of peace, calm and serenity. The setting is private and beautifully quiet, surrounded by fields, the pond, birds, feeders, and the squirrel posse that comes to say hello – and to make strafing runs on the birds peanuts! Every morning felt like stepping into a nature reserve, and every evening ended in perfect stillness in the hot tub beneath the stars. I saw everything from two blue herons who used the pond, to a red tailed kite calling from the top of the oak tree. The lodge itself is spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was kept perfectly clean and ready throughout my visit — such a treat after exploring the countryside or wandering through this area of Wales. The view of the stars from the hot tub is amazing - no light pollution – I was lucky enough to see shooting stars one evening. If you prefer not to drive, taxis to town are easy to arrange and very reasonably priced.Communication with the owners was brilliant — friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. They check in just enough to make sure everything’s right, but always respect your privacy. You can tell that they’ve poured heart into making this place special.I left Hope Hideaway feeling rested, grounded, and had already booked in to return in the Spring. It’s a haven for anyone who needs quiet, comfort, and a little corner of nature all their own.
