Hafanedd is a cosy cottage set in a pleasant village, offering a quiet and comfortable stay with a beautiful garden and well-equipped kitchen. It is conveniently located close to Barmouth and local amenities, with lovely walks and pubs nearby. Some guests noted issues with parking for larger vehicles and minor maintenance concerns, but overall experiences were positive.

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it clean and comfortable, others reported cobwebs, a strong smell of damp, and dirty kitchen cupboards. The majority, however, did not mention cleanliness as an issue.

The location is appreciated for its quietness, proximity to Barmouth, and access to local shops and services. The garden setting is also a highlight. However, some guests had difficulty finding the property and noted the absence of pavements on the main road.

Guests praised the comfortable superking-sized bed and the overall cosiness of the cottage. However, there were complaints about the bedding not staying on the bed and the hot water temperature being too high, which could be a concern for safety.

The cottage is well-equipped with a large kitchen and lovely gardens. Guests enjoyed the shower and the outside seating. Issues with parking, heating, and a missing utility room with a freezer were noted, affecting the overall experience.

A very comfortable cottage, located down a track, off the main road through the village. It’s handily placed more or less equidistantly between Barmouth and Porthmadog, so easy to access shops for supplies. Sleeps four in two bedrooms; the superking-sized bed is amazingly comfortable and while I can’t comment on the two singles, I’ve no doubt that they’re of the same ilk. The garden is a delight (and a welcome bonus) and the surprisingly large kitchen is well-equipped.There’s no getting away from the tight parking situation. I have a Volvo S60 (about the same size as a Ford Mondeo); simple to drive into the space and, after a few attempts and with the aid of my glamorous assistant, fairly simple to get out of in four short manoeuvres. I think you might really struggle in anything bigger than that and drivers of smaller vehicles will have no problem. Had an issue with the radiators and hot water on day one (never previously had to deal with a boiler) and the owners got in touch with me more or less immediately via FaceTime to help me solve it (embarrassingly easy, as it turned out).If you want a comfortable, quiet, convenient holiday, then this will be perfect for you.

Parking is difficult. Kitchen cupboards are dirty and past their best, we didn't put anything in them. No tea towels. Only 1 toilet roll for 2 people for a week. Bedding does not stay on the bed, every time you turn over it comes off the bed, quilt lumpy. Hot water in bathroom sink way too hot, would be dangerous for children using themselves. Loads of cobwebs in corners and under wall kitchen cupboards. Strong smell of damp. Couldn't find carbon monoxide monitor. No information about the cottage or surrounding area. I've been in holiday cottages 2-3 times a year for many years (often booked with yourselves) and this is by far the worst.
