3 Barlwyd Terrace is a cosy and well-liked cottage in Blaenau Ffestiniog, praised for its quiet location, suitability for outdoor enthusiasts, and homely touches. Guests appreciate the scenic surroundings, easy access to Snowdonia, and thoughtful amenities provided by the host. While some minor issues were noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only a few isolated comments about cleanliness issues. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, hence the high score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Snowdonia and other attractions, as well as its peaceful setting. The sound of the nearby stream was mentioned as a highlight, although one guest noted the town itself was a bit run down.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, especially noting the cosy beds and the fuel burning stove. However, some guests mentioned that the space can feel a bit tight for larger groups, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities like the kitchen and entertainment options were appreciated, but some guests experienced issues with appliances and a lack of recycling options. The temperamental sound bar/TV and difficulty with heating and hot water were noted.
Many guests were delighted by the thoughtful touches such as decorations, games, and a well-stocked kitchen. While gifts like biscuits were mentioned, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.
