Blaenau Ffestiniog, a wonderful old slate town, is ideally positioned to explore the Snowdonia National Park. There is a wide variety of stores, bars, and restaurants. One of the primary local draws is Zip World Slate Caverns, the longest and fastest zip line in the world and a fantastic underground adventure. Since unesco designated the slate mines as a world historic site, tourists can now take fascinating subterranean tours to witness mining as it was done in the past. 13 miles of the renowned narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway also passes through the Snowdonia National Park on its way to Porthmadog, a harbour town.

Pen y Garth is terrible The beds were made with hairs on themâ¦dogs hairs The rooms down stairs were filthy The towels were wet the bath mats were filthy Bins were full, potatoâs were sprouting six inches long, The place was stinky with dogs Sykes were informed but we were informed that they would ring back but they never We spent one night there we fully clothed on the beds instead of 3 nightsâ¦â¦ that we paid forâ¦Â£393

The place was almost in the middle of the places we wanted to visit Porthmadog cricciciet etc. The owner was in good communication and kind not to charge us for the accidental breakage of the lampshade. A nice gesture to leave us couple packs of biscuits and stocks with tea and coffee tho we have brought our own.

Do not stay at this property itâs unclean and unsafe black mould everywhere no wood for fire floorboards upstairs a massive trip hazard dirty bed linen and you wonât get a refund
