Hoot House is a comfortable and cosy property situated in wonderful surroundings in the Snowdonia National Park. Located a short drive from Tywyn, Aberdyfi and Fairbourne, this property is the perfect place to stay when looking to explore all the area has to offer. Cook yourselves a hearty meal in the well equipped kitchen and after sitting down to enjoy this with your family why not challenge each other to a game of chess or even table football. There is a great local pub less than half a mile (5-minutes walk) from the property.
Wander down to the Talyllyn Railway Station situated in Abergynolwyn and take the heritage steam trains in to Tywyn. Afterwards, treat yourself to a spot of lunch and then get the train back to Tywyn. Alternatively, Hoot House offers a great location for a number of other walks. There is the Quarryman’s Trail which visits the old mine of Bryn Eglwys slate quarry and boasts expansive views. Also you can walk to Dolgoch Falls right from the doorstep, just over 2½ miles away. If you fancy a real challenge, why not head over to Cadair Idris.
After all of this exploring come back to Hoot House and relax for the evening. Put your feet up and watching a film on the impressive TV, or sit in the conservatory taking in the surroundings, with the underfloor heating to keep you warm. Beach 8 miles. Shop 7½ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Hoot House has everything you could possibly want for a holiday in Wales. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden is lovely and the views from the house are spectacular. The surrounding countryside offers amazing walks, both leisurely and strenuous. The local pub serves good beers and nice food at sensible prices. The neighbours are friendly and helpful and the owners go out of their way to make your holiday memorable. The welcome pack ensures that you have enough of the basics before you need to go shopping. A truly wonderful experience.

A brilliant house, with everything you need for a s/c holiday. Comfortable beds. Clean, airy, bright house with lovely conservatory and gorgeous garden to sit in, if weather allows and you want to chill. As it's a small village, be aware that you need to bring or order in your food as the nearest shops in Twywn are quite expensive. To be expected in rural location.Loads to do round about - we were fortunate to have amazing weather, but if weather not so kind, still plenty to do. We had a fantastic, relaxing time @ Hoot House. Would recommend and plan to go back.
