  What a fantastic beautifully decorated and equipped bungalow.

  The pictures don't fully do it justice. Situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac and literally 2 minutes walk (across the road) to Bala Lake and the leisure centre. The town centre is no more than a 5 minute stroll and has plenty of bars, restaurants,(all are dog friendly), take aways a Co-op and Spar together with a small selection of traditional shops. Check out the Welsh Ice cream. The narrow gauge railway is worth a trip, travelling through the beautiful Welsh countryside. You can walk to the station (just follow the lake round to the left of the leisure centre taking about 20 minutes leisurely stroll. Anyone with an electric vehicle there is a charging point on the Green carpark at the far end of the town which is walkable in 10 minutes.Currently there is 1 CSS 50kW and 1 type 2 22kW socket available provided by SWARCO e-connect. There are also 2 new charge points at the leisure centre which at the time of writing were not operational. Many thanks to the owner Rachael, who is available if you have any questions.   We honestly can't praise this perfect little holiday cottage enough. It was spotlessly clean, with a fresh modern decor. There were lovely welcoming touches-like some fresh flowers, Welsh cakes (which honestly lasted about 5 minutes after our 5 and a half hour drive) and a packet of waffles. We met Manon and her parents in law, who were all so friendly and sweet. They have a great knowledge of the area too. The cottage has everything we needed-a well equipped kitchen (with a dishwasher and washing machine, cleaning products and tea, coffee and a pint of milk), a comfortable living area and bedroom and a modern bathroom. The shower was really good too. Parking outside is ample and you can see your vehicle from the property. The cottage is well placed. Literally less than 5 minutes walk to Bala town centre and within easy reach of lots of attractions. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return one day.

  Perfect in every way!

  I booked this cottage without paying much attention to where, in Wales, it was! My main priority was having an enclosed garden in a place we could relax in and take our two dogs. Coed y Glyn proved to be this.. and so much more. Set in beautiful countryside with a warm village feel, we enjoyed it all immensely and Llanuwchylin station was amazing - like stepping back in time. Definitely worth booking a trip up to Bala. The village also has a lovely pub, y Eagle, with fabulous food which also served as a village shop. The staff were lovely and helpful when we initially couldn’t find anywhere to sit (booking strongly recommended) The cottage itself is warm, comfy and very well fitted out. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not that we needed anything, but we felt we could just “ask” at any time. Sadly our 4 day visit was over too quickly so we will just HAVE to return.

  We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Talar Wen in November (28.

  11-01.12). The setting was absolutely beautiful - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning Welsh countryside. It was the perfect place for us to unwind. The house was spotless, warm, and really cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt so welcoming and had a real homely feel, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy our time there. We loved spending our days exploring the area and soaking up the scenery, then coming back in the evenings to such a calm and comfortable space. It was exactly what we needed to recharge. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to come back again soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break!

  My family and I (2 adults, 2 children and a dog) booked a very last minute holiday and found this gorgeous bungalow in Bala, North Wales.

  We literally booked our trip in the morning and the owners were very accommodating by agreeing for us to arrive the same day. We were honoured to be informed that we were the very first guests to stay in the bungalow. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac over the road from Bala lake with lovely views of the hills and mountains. The bungalow and facilities are all brand new - Rachael and Garaint have thought of everything! It is a light airy space and decorated to a high standard. We felt very cosy there. The shops and local amenities are a short walk away and there a beaches and lovely days out within driving distance. We would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Rachael and Garaint :)
