  I just wanted to write and let you know that we had such a lovely time at your bungalow. I did leave comments in the guestbook, but having a rental cottage myself, I know how much hard work goes into making it happen and making every guest feel welcome, especially at this time of year. We booked the bungalow to give my mum a break as she used to visit Norfolk with my late dad and so its very special to her. It was her 80th birthday during her stay and so i was specifically looking for a comfortable and well-furnished bungalow with a shower cubicle so I could keep her safe, and after looking at hundreds online, I was thrilled to find yours. Good quality dog-friendly properties are hard to find in my experience, so ticking the boxes for us, the dogs and for mum was a challenge. We've rented cottages for the last 30 years and never had beds so comfortable, a welcome basket so full, or so many TV's to choose from. I had hoped that my husband who was strictly "working from home" would take root in the cabin but sadly for us the weather had heated it up a treat, and so he took root in the dining room, leaving us the garden to enjoy! We tidied up thoroughly as requested in the OC email even though as an OC homeowner I had never seen that message before. I couldn't find a broom or a dust pan and brush - just to let you know in case they have gone walkabouts. We put the rubbish bin out to be emptied but the recycling bin was full to the brim when we arrived. However, I hope our quick tidy up gave your housekeeper a head start. I wish you well with the rest of the season and all your many bookings and hope we will be able to return To Broadway Bungalow one day soon.

  We've been coming to SW Cornwall for many years now and this our best experience by far.

  More spacious that the photos give it credit for. Tastefully decorated. Beautiful sunsets over the fields and a glistening sea in the distance through the kitchen window. Place to park right outside the front gate. Superb white goods, especially the oven and a useful separate mini-freezer. Overnight water heater just enough for 2 full baths so fine as long as it's managed (and it has a booster). Separate electric little power shower with non stop hot water. Pretty good internet bearing in very rural location - could stream from two devices simultaneously - beyond that reception started to struggle. An office with a desk and an armchair was a nice surprise. Decent small Spar about half a mile away with a free car park opposite. Footpath one way, road then footpath the other to Portheras Cove, a beautiful beach that is off the beaten track so not busy (almost like a private beach) and great for paddling, sunbathing and rock pooling but probably not swimming. Ann the owner on hand for help but respectful, charming and discreet. We have already booked again for 2021. Recommended.

  Wonderfully equipped Cottage with everything you could possibly need for relaxing break the welcome back was really appreciated. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for your dogs and is not overlooked in anyway. The local pub just a few minutes walk does great food and friendly atmosphere at a reasonable price and is also dog friendly. There are two grocery shops close by Tesco express and Lidl within a few minutes walk. Plenty of bungalow entertainment options with TV in the main bedroom in the main front room in the conservatory and the summer house equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney channels, etc. Alexa hubs all over the Property. The owner emailed two hours before and told us the bungalow was ready for occupation earlier than the 4 o’clock check-in time, which is a real benefit. It’s a five star rating from us

  Very peaceful and quiet.

  However, a sign to guide to the actual property would be welcome as it is a farm of scattered building and it was hard to find someone to give us direction to the cottage. Also we found surprising that there was not a single book, not a single DVD (Blue Ray only) available for entertainment. There was not even a Visitors Book to leave a comment. Theses things have been commonly found wherever we have stayed. So beware, take ALL your entertainment with you (we could not fathom how to use the TV as no instructions available and it was Blue Ray only) because if the weather turns bad there is little to do in the area. But if weather is good the walks are superb and the sunsets by the lighthouse spectacular.

  Despite the lesser spotted sun, we have all enjoyed a family holiday in this lovely villa with such stunning views. Our 18-month old and 4 year old have loved watching the birds, boats, horses and train-spotting as well as treasure hunting and paddling at the beach. We’ve had a great time visiting Warkworth Castle, Alnwick Gardens (brilliant fun in the water features!), Lilidorei, Northumberland Zoo and White House Farm in Morpeth, with a fabulous potting barn, bird show, handling sessions, soft play and so much more. Our favourite meal was at The Whittling House in Alnmouth. Thank you for such a well presented and equipped villa with comfortable beds and immaculately clean. We really hope to return.
