  Tranquil location. Countryside views. Well equipped cottages. The hosts provide lots of essential.. ie.. Hand-wash. Washing up liquid and cloths. Towel. Bedding. Kitchen. Towel. Tin foil. Clingfilm. There was a welcome pack of Welsh Cakes and Crisps and a carton of milk in the fridge.. Couldn't fault the hospitality. There are lots of places to visit in south Wales Dyffryn Gardens is a must!! Fagans Castle is a day out too. Waterfalls Country for a lovely waterfall walk.. Mumbles is a pretty seaside town about a hours drive through the hills and lovely scenery on the way..it has a newly built walkway with some lovely cafes and bars. Quaint little shops too.. We didn't find many places around where we could have a Evening meal as most stopped serving at 3pm. So we ate most days when we were out and about. Evening can be spent on the balcony overlooking Barry with a glass of wine and if the sky is clear you can see the sun set. If you are a TV or Games lover that entertain is provided too. All in all A Wonderful home from home.

  We have stayed in lots of holiday houses before and this has by far been the cleanest and most tidy. Everything smelt so fresh and new and we instantly felt relaxed. You couldn't get a more perfect location for exploring Cardiff! We have 2 children and we could easily walk to everything without any moaning! The owner was very helpful and responded to messages quickly. There was plenty of on street permit parking (you are given the permit on arrival) and we never struggled to find a space (this was one of my concerns before coming). Despite being so close to the centre, it's actually a really quiet and peaceful road. Couldn't recommend this house more highly. Bute park is pretty much opposite the house and you can get a water taxi to Cardiff bay from here. The castle and museum are also very close, plus obviously all the shops and restaurants in the city centre. So if you are looking for central accommodation, this is perfect.

This property was perfect, felt like we were away from it all in the country. It was certainly close enough to enjoy Cardiff and the local sights had we been interested. We loved walking through PorthKerry Country Park</span>

  Good proactive communication from the property owner without it being intrusive - advice / reminder on key safe location, rubbish collection & a minor issue with the maintenance of the property.

  Fantastic location - clifftop views 2 mins away - bus stop less than 5 mins and train station with regular trains to Cardiff within 10 mins walk. In addition to the owners food and drink recommendations, Bro Coffi trailer at the near end of the prom does really good coffee and great home made biscuits / granolas; Marcos Cafe had very friendly locals in the mornings and did a great bacon baguette and the Hungry Shark did a largely grease free fish / pie and chips - all well recommended. Porthkerry Country Park is an hours walk along the cliffs - good for mixed ability walks and with a cafe too. The ‘Goodsheds’ Urban Market / bar / cafe complex on Hood Road is a half hour walk and also recommended. The funfair had a couple of decent rides too.
