  Due to exceptional circumstances we were forced to find temporary accommodation during the 2020 lockdown and were incredibly fortunate to find this absolute gem.

  If you are considering a booking during this difficult period I cannot recommend this cottage enough; the owners take every care and the property itself is exceptionally well equipped and so it was simple to be self-sufficient; we were able to bake and make full roast dinners with the equipment in the kitchen as a clear example of this. You do need a car to be able to access the property and everything around it but regardless of whether you are reading this now or well into the future be assured there are wonderful things to do in the surrounding area. We loved the quiet beach at Hutoft, other beaches at Cleethorpes, Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe. Louth and Alford are beautiful, and Lincoln and the wonderful Rand Park Farm are all close enough for a day trip. It's a wonderful area for walking and within a half mile radius we saw a barn owl, several deer and I am pretty sure a peregrine falcon! I cannot recommend this cottage enough, a tranquil oasis in a lovely area.

  We realised that we were going into a quite compact accommodation but we were very impressed at the way things were laid out and there was everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxed in this tastefully decorated place.

  .The place was spotless and hygiene was up to a high standard. We were slightly concerned about storage but there was a wardrobe (plenty of coat hangers too)in the kitchen and there was extra storage under the bed and in the very clean bathroom.Private parking and a totally enclosed garden for our dog. The owners were very frendly and very helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble when dealing with one or two of our extra needs.(being older we like a teapot teapot and long handled dustpan and brush and these were delivered promptly) Access to the beach was very easy,about 10 minutes and the local Seacroft bar provided good reasonably priced meals and drinks. Thank you very much to our hosts for making our stay so enjoyable.Another very good Sykes accommodation . Jacqui and Barrie September 2023

  We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage.

  It is a fascinating region of England with lots to see and do. The cottage itself was warm, comfortable, attractive and nicely decorated for the Christmas season. It was a good location for astronomy when weather allowed and we appreciated the owner allowing us to use parts of his land outside the boundary of the cottage garden for setting up our telescope. Only one tiny negative comment, that we found the fabric conditioner used to wash the duvet cover was too strong. We don't use them at home so are rather sensitive but perhaps it could have been less concentrated. That was all. Feel free to delete last paragraph from published remarks, it is mainly for reference so to speak. Thank you!

  Lockdown Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our last minute get-away.

  The Lodge has been thoughtfully converted to create the perfect accommodation and makes for a very comfortable & cosy stay. Excellent facilities have been provided throughout. The addition of the porch to the entrance provides ample storage for coats, shoes & luggage. The enclosed garden area was secure & perfect for our pet pooch. Location wise, the Lodge was just a short walking distance from the Seacroft Bar, shop, and seafront. We received a very warm welcome from Andy, the owner of the Lodge, he was extremely helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Lockdown Lodge.

  Lovely clean and well equipped cottage.

  Perfect location, nice and quiet (I loved the church bells) and only a short drive to coastal resorts. We had trips out to, Alford, ingoldmells, Skegness, Chapel Point, Mablethorpe and Gibralter Point with our dog. Tried the chippy, the bakery and the pizza shop and they were lovely. Lots of nice walks around the village on an evening with our dog and really impressed at how clean everywhere is. Everyone was really friendly. Thanks to the owner for calling and asking if everything was ok for us and the board that slips in the door opening is a great idea. Highly recommended and we will hopefully be returning.
