  We loved our stay, had no major problems but listing could do with changing slightly.

  It says you can use own Netflix's but there's no smart TV so very limited to tv programs if like us your back on an evening due to kids. The main bed could do with being changed as it's very worn on one side but still comfortable. There was still crumbs on side by toaster and some on floor but wasn't a massive issue. It stated a welcome pack but we didn't have one and no information of anything around the local area. It could do with a few touch ups like the decking but again not a issue. The washer dryer was great and really useful, the view and quietness was amazing and loved watching the wild deer. We enjoyed walks around the lake. We would definitely come back again but I think for what you get the pricing is abit too high for other places we've stayed around the area that have been above expectations so maybe something to look at and even advertise elsewhere to get extra bookings so others don't miss out on this lovely find.   The Lodge was exactly as described and photographed.

  Although we failed to get the welcome email from the owners, a phone call from me sorted out the easy key collection. The only criticism about the cleanliness was the dishwasher still had dirty dishes etc in it and the cutlery drawer tray needed a wash out, so the cutlery was put through the dishwasher. A very minor blip. The master bedroom was a good size and the en-suite just right, as was the family bathroom. We found the other 2 bed rooms quite small and so were the single beds, fine for children but a tight squeeze for adults and we were 4 adults and one child. Every thing worked that we used and it was quiet and peaceful. A lovely view of the lake from the living area which even the unfortunate wet weather did not spoil. We would definitely recommend this Lodge to other families.

  The location is nice and the lodge was comfortable.

  It would probably be fine in good weather. Very loud vibrating noise due to wind disturbed our sleep, (this was not the extraction vents in the bathroom as suggested by owners). There was no WiFi or TV due to recent storm, not their fault but we could have been notified of this before we arrived and not had to call them to find out. As we were packing up to leave found a collection of suspenders in one of the twin rooms drawers, obviously left by a previous guest. In all not the experience we were hoping for, the hands off approach by the owners verges on disinterest. It might help them to spend a night in the accommodation and experience it for themselves. It's a real shame as has the potential to be very pleasant.

  Lovely little holiday lodge - we stayed for a long weekend as we were down for a wedding.

  When we arrived the lodge was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities to make our stay comfortable. Storm Dennis managed to knock out the satellite connection on our first night, this wasn’t able to be fixed till the Monday, but we weren’t too bothered as we were out for a wedding and didn’t intend to be watching too much tv anyway, just would have been useful to keep our 1year old occupied when we were getting ready. But nothing you can do when Mother Nature flexes her muscles sometimes. Beautiful location on the lake, the only thing that could have been better was the weather!

  The lodge was great, although I am not sure it is suitable for families as there is a lot of goose poo all over the place.

  Start of holiday was ruined a little bit by the fact that the owners failed to give us an email containing the code to the keysafe prior to the holiday as promised. Spent an hour and a half trying to contact them, only for them to say that they had sent it and to check my inbox, spam etc. I am tech savvy (I am an IT consultant) and can tell you no email was received. Eventually they did give us the code over the phone. I would have expected better customer service than this considering the amount of money involved. Never mind, I won't use this lodge again.
