  We stayed at the stables the second last week of August 2024 and if we could sum it up in one word - Wonderful.

  We had such an amazing stay, the property was very clean, the facilities were brilliant and the hosts were extremely friendly. When we've booked air bnbs in the past, those stays had a transactional aura about them. You could tell those hosts are just about the income as they provide basic facilities and the property may be nice but doesn't have much character. The Stables however, very much felt like a home away from home and you can feel the aura of family strongly. These hosts care about the experience their guests have which is evident in every intricate detail - from providing the 'things to do on your stay' book which included the history of the home, places to visit, nearby scenic walks and the like. My family and I loved every moment and my 5 year old nephew asked me every day how long we had left to stay as he didn't want us to leave. The kids got to enjoy the zip line and trampoline and us adults played badminton and other provided games too. There were toys and books for the kids and overall just entertainment for everyone. Even though the weather wasn't the best during our stay, we genuinely didn't care because we had such a lovely time anyway. I saw reviews on The Stables and we now see why the reviews were so positive. It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and my family and I are hoping we can incorporate The Stables into at least one of our yearly getaways in future. If you're thinking about it, go for it because I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much to our hosts for their kindness, care and welcoming spirit. We really appreciate you both and hope to stay with you again next year (my nephews already asked when were coming back!).

  We were greeted at the Stables by Glenda and Barry (Baz) who made us extremely welcome.

  Glenda showed us around and extensively explained where everything was etc. the property was incredible and tastefully decorated to the highest standard. We had every you could ever want at our finger tips. All the bedrooms were large double rooms. The beds were so comfortable. Even done to the fans in the bedrooms which were climate controlled. It was like being at home. The bathroom was so luxurious with a rolled topped bath, where you could relax and watch the television whilst having a soak, to the large walk in shower which could be operated from the outside. The kitchen was so well equipped it was a pleasure to cook in this kitchen. The oven was spotlessly clean and a shear joy to use. The utility room housed the white goods and Baz explained how to use the indoor line if we needed to use it. Moving on to the immaculate grounds where Baz showed us how to use the Zip wire which was great fun to the outside table tennis, trampoline and swings. We would highly recommend this beautiful property which whilst situated in the lovely countryside it’s within a short distance to all the main attractions.

  Lovely cottage with high quality fittings and equipment and loads of storage space (was previously a family home) including two fridges and freezers.

  Welcome pack included delicious bread, as well as milk, spread, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits. Also provided more than enough toilet rolls for the week, soap, washing-up liquid, kitchen roll etc. Lots to do in the area, from country walks to central Birmingham, and loads of good pubs within 10 min drive. Minor niggles - light bulbs on stairs both needed replacing (found one replacement in drawer), one broken towel holder, but didn't detract from overall experience. Although only one bath/shower, two bedrooms had sinks (not listed in the Sykes property listing). Would happily stay again.

  We really loved the property.

  There were so many extra touches which made such a difference such as robes, lots of kitchen equipment, the welcome pack and even lavender pillow mist. Glenda and Barry are the most lovely people who made us feel so welcome and we loved the bread and cake. The only downside was 6 ladies and only 1 shower but it didn't effect us too much as we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. We would definitely recommend this property. We have stayed many places together over the past 20 years and this has been by far the best.

  We had an amazing time.

  The Stables was excellent, it is beautiful. It was spotlessly clean, had everything you could possibly need. It is beautifully furnished and modern but keeping with a farmhouse theme. It was the nicest place we have ever stayed. The beds were so comfortable. Kitchen and living areas so cost warm and spacious. The outdoor area is fantastic, loads to do. Overall an amazing place. We will definitely stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending the stables as a place to stay.
