What our customers say about their holidays
Philip - Verified booking
This cottage was lovely for a family holiday to explore Lymington, the New Forest, Beaulieu, and the Isle of Wight.
For us, parking was easy every time required - outside the front door, which was framed by pretty roses. We got the parking permit arranged once we phoned the cottage owner, who picked up first time and registered our car details online at their end. This cottage was a real 'cottage' size, yet cosy, well- renovated, equipped and furnished with a nice 'sea/blue' interior theme. The stairs were steep, so we found that using the handrail was necessary. We found the mattresses were quite comfortable, and discovered the lounge sofa also proved to be a good sofabed. The area was very quiet at night. So, on our stay, we slept well. One evening, we relaxed and dined in the small sun-trap back garden surrounded by fragrant honeysuckle and tall evergreen hedges. In Lymington, we ate at the King's Head pub-restaurant. Their 'giant' fish & chips main dish was very, very good. A great stay.

I picked this beautiful quaint picturesque cottage mainly because it looked like it had a fully enclosed garden, which is hard to find when you have a dog.
Unfortunately the garden was not fully enclosed, my dog would have easily got out through a walkway that went up to the hotel and also he could have easily got through the copse of trees edging the garden. Luckily I took a stake just in case, which we had to use to keep the dog safe while enjoying the garden and hot tub. The house itself supplied most of the necessities but not coasters and table mats which I found hard when putting plates and drinks on the tables. Also in the information book it implied that you could order food from the hotel as long as you paid a tray charge but when ordering food, the restaurant said that the food would be cold if delivered so we had to go to the hotel bar to eat. The house was comfortable with an endless supply of towels and toiletries and there grounds of the the hotel were beautiful. We had an enjoyable stay. Thank you

The property was exactly as described.
It was roomier than expected and comfortable. The heating remained a mystery and the Coach House was quite cold in the mornings but probably too warm in the evening. I did point it out to Pippa who said that the bedroom was always cold due to the high ceiling (not really satisfactory and that we should not touch the controllers. I did try but it made no odds. Blackout blinds in the bedroom would be of great value as it was getting light by 4.30 am. A book of comments from previous tenants would be useful especially with respect to places to visit and eat. There is a huge file of leaflets but most of them are out of date. The rusty patio set needs replacing, fortunately we took out own camping chairs. Overall a great property in a very quiet area.

Cleanliness issues from the start, found a dirty sock in the lounge and the property hadnât been hoovered at all.
Down stairs bathroom had an awful drainage smell, tea and coffee etc hadnât been replaced. Cottage wasnât ready at allotted time, had to wait another hour so to then get in the property and find it in such a poor condition was disappointing. Hot tub was freezing. Worst part of all was the unadvertised and undisclosed CCTV around the property, and most disturbing of all the camera overlooking the hot tub! Serious invasion of privacy and unfortunately did not notice until the last evening! Hotel that owns the property have never been in contact since the complaint to even offer an apology at the very least. Horrendous experience and still not resolved with Sykes and our stay was on 27th Dec!!!!

This property is wonderfully light and spacious, surrounded by beautiful gardens.
It is a very peaceful place to stay but within easy driving distance of local towns and The New Forest. The beds were very comfortable, the sitting room looked out over the gardens and the kitchen was huge however we found it was lacking in good quality equipment and needed updating. The fridge had no usable door pockets and the wheels on the dishwasher baskets kept falling off. There was no kitchen roll, clingfilm or silver foil which has always been provided in previous cottages we have stayed in and is always a nice touch. Despite these slight frustrations we had a lovely stay and would consider returning next year.
