What our customers say about their holidays

We had a wonderful week.
Lovely welcome from Abina and Tim. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and delightful. Set in the countryside within easy distance of so many nearby sights. We went to Blarney Castle, Gougane Barra, a stunningly beautiful national park, Kilmichael ambush site, Union Hall, Glandore and Rineen on the coast, kayaking around some amazing scenery, Brandon and Dunmanway, where there was great history to discover. The Methodist Church in Dunmanway is now occupied by the historical society and has a superb collection of local historical artifacts and information. Vivianne and Tim were very helpful. We spent a few fascinating hours there discovering the real history of the area. St Mary's Church in Dunmanway has recently gained 8 new church bells, we were taken up to the belfry and allowed to ring tunes. Locals have knitted a copy of the Sam MacGuire cup for the All Ireland GAA competition and it sits on the window ledge in pride of place. The churchyard is where Sam MacGuire is buried. The last Friday of the month in the Greyhound bar in Dunmanway, locals come together to sing their Irish songs. A true delight. All in all a superb holiday and would completely recommend.

If youâre looking for peace and quiet in a tranquil setting with friendly neighbours and their pets, youâll find it here.
The cottage is set in a tiny village next to a church. Itâs quiet, very quiet. You will definately need a car and the sat nav will never take you back to the village along the same road, and there are hundreds of roads. Tiny single tracks in some cases, some little more than footpaths which hardly ever see a car and which make for an interesting if sometimes frustrating journey! The cottage is clean, warm and cosy and the bed is comfortable, but if you are looking for five star accommodation, look elsewhere. This is a basic cottage with basic amenities, Somewhere to return to after a long day of touring. Keep that in mind and you will be more than happy. There are a number of typical Irish pubs with a mile or so but for eating out locally, find the Old Thatch. Highly recommended friendly pub offering good service, excellent food and drink and free WiFi.

The property was charmingly rustic and very clean, it sits amid a working farm.
Situated between Bantry and Glengarriff, the location is ideal for people wanting to be just outside a town in a tourist area. The listing was slightly inaccurate, there was not an electric oven, instead we had access to a microwave and a 2 ring hob that sits on top of the kitchen counter. The downstairs shower was broken on arrival, this wasn't a problem for us and we're sure it will be repaired when possible. The garden was in honesty disappointing, it was not private, nor was it an acre. Our children were chased on one occasion by 2 large neighbouring dogs on the lawn directly outside the house. We could not recommend it for families with children anticipating a safe outdoor space. The bedrooms were well positioned and the larger room had plenty of storage space, however the mattresses were rather uncomfortable.

We arrived around 9pm in the rain to be met by the lovely owner Margaret.
Margaret gave us a brief overview of the cottage and let us know about the generous breakfast provisions and home baked loaf jam and butter. The cottage is cosy and well equipped, Inch is a quiet little village but within easy access to every part of Cork that we had interest in visiting. We took our little dachshund who immediately relaxed at the dispensary which says a lot! I knew the owners were at hand if needed which was comforting, but they don't impose on you at all. The day before checking out I popped by to discuss leaving keys etc and had a lovely chat with Margaret and John in there beautiful home, Margaret even gave me a parting gift of a Christmas cake that she had baked. The kindness and hospitality from them is second to none. Thank you so much. Hope our paths cross again one day.

The owners (Tim and Abina) are two of the loveliest people youâd ever meet.
They are super friendly, and will make sure you have everything you need. For example, the fire was blazing when we arrived after dark on our first night and the table was set ready for a meal. They also have a wealth of knowledge of the area which they are happy to share including lots of brochures for the local towns available in the porch for use during your stay. The cottage is in a great location for exploring as itâs quiet and remote with great views but is a close 5 minute drive to town with plenty of shops, pubs etc. Itâs well equipped in the kitchen for self catering and the bed was comfortable. The owner needs to set the boiler for the radiators but thereâs a fireplace for additional heating or drying wet clothes. A good traditional Irish farm stay.
