  Very rural setting in the village of Misterton.

  Plenty of scenic walks without having to take your vehicle out with you. Would be great for cyclists (we didn't take ours). The views from the lodge are amazing, hardly anything but stunning countryside. The lodge was brand new for our stay (May 2021). It has a very cosy seating area both inside and out, a very usable kitchen. We found we didn't need to pack anything out of the ordinary for our break. The hot tub is great to chill out in and rest your feet after a day of the Great British outdoors! If your thinking of going a bit further afield there is a local taxi company, be warned it's a one man operation so if your used to ordering a taxi and getting picked up in 10 minutes, you may want to pre-book some trips. Malcolm, his name is and he gave us pretty much a guided tour of the area, as he took us out to Bawtry. Would recommend this trip if you can spare a day or evening of your Holiday! There's a full size snooker table and fussball table on site and books and dvds in the lodge if you feel like relaxing on site. The owners where lovely and very helpful, all the best to Michelle and Geoff, you guys did a fantastic job for us!

  We absolutely loved our stay at Birch View Lodges.

  We booked our mini break for a relaxing get away from the real world for a few days and it was so worth it. The lodge itself was so clean (it was like we were the first people that had ever been in). We had a bottle of proseco in the fridge, along with milk and waters. We were also given fresh bread with jam & marmalade. We felt very spoilt straight away. The outside area with hot tub was great and you are supplied with LOTS of wood. We loved the outdoor space for a bbq and roasting marshmallows in the evening watching the stars. The hot tub was great...very peaceful and relaxing. Michelle was super friendly and helped us with any questions or queries during our stay. We enjoyed several games of snooker in the games room on a rainy day. We loved our stay so much, we have booked again for a birthday and we have family members booking for the other lodges. Would highly recommend!!!

  Lovely week stay at Ivy Barn, very quiet and peaceful .

  Very clean on arrival and very well equipped for self catering with everything you could possibly need. Great powerful shower, warm and cosy with easily adjustable heating. Bed was the comfiest we have experienced in a holiday let and the electric reclining sofa was really comfortable. Plenty of storage space. WiFi very reliable. There is a small ice box in the top of the fridge that can store a few frozen items . Julie and Simon are excellent hosts and live next door if needed. A path from the property leads directly to Carsington Water footpath just a couple of minutes walk away, lovely circular walk around the water with a visitor centre, cafe and shop. We would highly recommend. Thank you Julie and Simon for an excellent stay.

  We've just had a heavenly time at Silver Birch Lodge.

  Simply stunning views, secluded yet just 5 minutes to all the facilities you need in a large village with a beautiful church. The wood fired hot tub was easy to fire up, maybe 45 minutes first time but remained warm over our stay and unlimited lights and bubbles! The Lodge is fitted to a very high level and has everything you need and is very cosy but you get the bonus of a large games room. The manicured gardens are immaculate. We took a trip to Gainsborough Old Hall which is huge and ancient and only a short drive away. We've come home so refreshed and would love to go again. The hosts are discreet yet friendly and they have done a fantastic job

  The barn has been beautifully renovated.

  A very comfortable and lovely living space, in a stunning location. Lovely and warm, we had snow for one of our days. Easy to access, and very private. Great to have the option to use a washing machine and tumble drier. So much to do in the area that we ran out of time. Lovely to be able to do walks directly from the house. Lots of places to eat and drink in the local area. We also like to cook where we stay and perhaps would have liked a few more kitchen utensils. This is not a complaint, just an observation. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay.
