The little cottage is well equipped and a great base for travelling around Cornwall.
The hosts are great, and there are little touches such as a cream tea, wine and flowers. There are great views at the rear of the property and we enjoyed sitting out, having breakfast as it's very peaceful. The Lodge is decorated to a high standard with a nice bathroom and good shower. There wasn't a lot of places to eat in April as lock down restrictions were gradually lifting. Most nights, we had a takeaway or cooked a meal. The kitchen again is well equipped for this however, we couldn't work out how to use the microwave. Cornwall is a truely beautiful part of the country and highlights were the characterful fishing villages such as Polperro, Padstow and Magavissey. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend this place as a great little hideaway.

The owners of the property live in the main house a bit further down the gravel drive - not intrusive in any way but close enough should you have any queries. We had a wonderful time at Old Mill Cottage. The little garden was wonderful, lots of beautiful hydragea and really private. Maddie was really helpful when we had problems with the WiFi and she did literally everything that so that we could get access to the internet. We can only recommend this lovely cottage: the location, a great bed and really fluffy towels. Gweek is a great place to start excursions to lots of interesting places in Cornwall - the Lizard, St. Ives, St. Michael's Mount and the coast in general. Thank you very much!

The accommodation was in a perfect setting of being nestled in an orchard so that we could watch wild hares and muntjac deer roaming outside whilst we washed up our breakfast dishes. The sweet hut was warm and very comfortable, with a good shower and basic kitchens equipment which was all we needed. The location of the hut made it a real gem, perfectly situated to explore the gorgeous surrounding areas and all charm that North Norfolk offers. A real 10/10

We appreciated the fresh flowers, and the pint of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits ready for our arrival. Difficult to stop right outside so a short walk for loading and unloading the car, and the four steps up from the road are quite steep, so tricky for anyone with mobility problems. Village has shop, pub and boatyard cafe within easy walking distance.
