  We couldn’t fault this property or the location. The owners had considered everything, and the kitchen cupboards were stocked with every plate, cup, glass, and utensil you could possibly need, and as a group of 6 we really appreciated the dishwasher. It was spotlessly clean, and the house was tastefully decorated with an appropriate nautical theme, with wonderful attention to detail, and felt newly done. It seemed very spacious for the six of us that stayed there. Having a garage to park our car in was a bonus, as was the terrace area where we sat and watched the sunsets over the harbour, and the dog walkers in the park next door. The views from the two back bedrooms are stunning. It was a short walk downhill to Brixham harbour and the town, and although it was a relatively steep walk back, there is a bus stop right outside the property. The bus routes from the town are very good and make it easy to get to Torquay, Paignton, Newton Abbot and Exeter for days out. We stayed there as a family of three generations (aged 16 to 77) and all of us agreed it was perfect and the owners had clearly made their guests’ comfort and convenience a priority. We highly recommend Sail Away (and Brixham) as a holiday destination.

  As a family of 5 we had an amazing week at Sail Away., There is so much to do locally as well as a short walk or drive away, from the free open air swimming pool, bars, restaurants ,boat trips and beaches. There was more than enough room for us all and there was more than enough equipment. You really don't need to bring anything but toiletries and beach towels. Having a shower room as well as a bathroom was great with taking 3 teenagers on holiday! Beds were comfy and everyone slept well. There was even a towel for the dog. There are buckets and spades, deck chairs, umbrellas and games/books for rainy days. The location was perfect, being outside of the harbour meant it was nice and peaceful but only a short walk down to the shops, beach and harbour. Although be aware , there are lots of steps down into the town! Local beaches are pebbles although that dint bother any of us, although I would say maybe invest in some beach shoes if you are planning on visiting the local coves and Blackpool Sands. There is a sandy beach at Broadsands Beach. I would definately recommends to friends and family and come back again

  Stayed at Sail Away for a week at the beginning of July really great location with a lovely park opposite, perfect for the dog, gorgeous sea views and short walk to the harbour with two fantastic pubs for pitstops on the walk back up the hill, the Queens Arms and the Manor. Sail Away was immaculate, super clean, lots of space and really comfortable, really well equipped kitchen, bathrooms very modern with good showers, perfect patio area with table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine and views of the sea, stunning sea view from lounge and bedrooms. Having the garage was a real bonus we have stayed in some lovely cottages in Brixham but parking is usually a challenge Sail Away took the stress away so we could pop out in the car on day trips knowing the garage was there when we got back! Highly recommend Sail Away and will be booking again for next year. Also I left an item in the house when we left and Original Cottages were really helpful in sending this back to me really quickly, I was impressed by this service.

  We found "Sail Away" to be an excellent property for our family which included 3 young children including an infant. The property was immaculately presented and was extremely child friendly. Although there were 7 of us we found plenty of room in the property and all rooms including kitchen, bedrooms & bathrooms were modern & comfortable. The property is located on a steep hill from Brixham harbour,, but only about a 10 minute walk. We actually got used to the climb after a few days although admittedly it would be a challenge for those with mobility needs. The lovely patio area was nice & large and a great place to enjoy the sea view in the evening as the sun went down. Would highly recommend this property.

  This bungalow was a real gem of a property. It was much bigger than expected as the photos do not do it justice. The whole place was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, easy parking and the location was perfect for getting to nearby beaches. The kitchen was very well equipped and had lots of cupboard space for those of us who like to self cater. The patio was a lovely sun trap in the afternoon which we put to full use as we were very lucky to have a week of sunshine. It is definitely one of the best properties we have stayed at and we will certainly book again.
