What our customers say about their holidays
Jen - Verified booking
This was our home for 3 weeks.
I think if I'd have known there was also a property upstairs, owned by the same person, I would have booked that one, but by the time I found out through the property owner, we had already unpacked everything and settled in and booked ty arth for 2 weeks. For some reason, it hadn't come up on our search. The steps down were a little awkward, but not bad. One of the steps was very rotten, but it didn't really bother us and I told the owner it didn't matter to us. The apartment is well laid out. There were a few things broken The curtain rail in the lounge and the kitchen clock, but I just highlighted these to the owner. No big deal. There were a couple of unfortunate events that happened during our stay. The first one being some extremely loud occupants staying in the apartment above. Banging loudly above our heads until 5am! When we all had early starts in the morning. This sadly coordinated with the other event regarding the owner, which meant she was unable to do much about it. This greatly impacted negatively on our stay, at no fault of the owner. Thankfully they left after 3 nights! Some other guys came to stay for a while above, and we bearly heard them. So it really depends on who is occupying the flat above. Yes, it can be a little noisy during the day, but that doesn't matter. It's night time that's important. There were a few minor inconveniences. Not enough cuttery when 4 people are staying. No can opener. And the smoke alarm in the kitchen goes off *every single time you cook*, even with the extractor fan on full power. It's too near the oven. There's no door to stop the light to the bathroom, so it's super bright if someone turns it on during the night. The best thing about it was the owner. She was very understanding of my youngest son's disability. My son has severe learning disabilities and is semi verbal non communicative. He can't control is fine motor skills, so spills drinks and makes a mess with food. He also likes to pull sheets off the bed. We kept trying to clean as much as possible, but the owner was very understanding. And we took out extra insurance to cover any potential damages he may cause.

We enjoyed our stay but were very disappointed with some elements.
There were two broken toilet seats, which Iâm sure had been reported by other guests. The shower downstairs flooded the first time I had a shower. I didnât notice to begin with which meant the water ran under the door. I took out the plug, which was quite stuck and didnât come out easily. It did drain eventually. I had to dry the floors with towels. I suffer from arthritis and the bending didnât help my back, apart from spoiling the experience. The shower upstairs was dirty and unfit for use. The shower room is very small and is difficult to get in and out of. Both TVs in the bedrooms were broken neither had remote controls, disappointing obviously. The outside areas and the gardens were in need of a good clean. Gardens overgrown and full of weeds, a shame as they could have been lovely to relax in and enjoy. The garden furniture, again was dirty and unfit for use. Two things really upset us. When we arrived and were looking around, carrying in our luggage the owner was in the room. This is unacceptable, he should have waited until we were organised and then knocked on the door and explained what he was doing. He said he was mending a lamp, but he didnât therefore we only had one small lamp in the lounge which was dark without the ceiling light on. He could have brought another lamp the next door. One morning I was on my own in the property, there was a knock on the door. I was reluctant to answer the door, but the knocking persisted so I walked around the back. A man, claiming to be a gardener, said that the owner had sent him to look round the garden with a view to doing some work. This was not an appropriate time for him to come, obviously not the gardenerâs fault. Some pots and pans were dirty, a small thing but unacceptable when the holiday maker is sent two messages as to how to leave the property, pots clean etc! The property looks very welcoming and is well equipped. Beds were comfortable with lovely linen on. There were plenty of towels. One aspect worried me, there are no blinds or curtains in the kitchen, which is very overlooked and in the dining room. Had I been on my own I would have been reluctant to go in these areas after dark.

Beautifully furnished and decorated property with everything you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Immaculately clean and everything provided for a self catering stay. The lovely front garden provided a sunny place to sit and enjoy breakfast , there is also a nice enclosed rear garden though we tended to sit at the front more. The 3 double bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. Short and pleasant walk into the town centre with plenty of eateries, shops , harbour and castle. Would recommend Edwards Deli / Butcher in the town centre for fresh sandwiches, pies and other delicious food. For eating out we enjoyed The Mulberry at Conwy Marina, lovely food and nice outside seating area, dog friendly too. Good transport links to Llandudno, Anglesey and Snowdonia. The only negative would be the upstairs toilet/ shower room which was quite difficult to get in and out of due to the compact space available to open and close the door and think some people may struggle with this. In its defence there are 2 more toilets downstairs and another shower, not quite as convenient though in the night. Overall I would definitely recommend this excellent holiday home for its comfort, location and facilities and would certainly book again if returning to the area. Our thanks to the owner for a lovely holiday !

Very stylish but very homely at the same time - luxury accommodation but practical and useable.
Everything from the knives and forks to the comfortable beds is top quality. The kitchen has everything you would need and more. There are two outside areas. The front overlooks the High Street and at this time of year gets most sun (end April) and the weather was kind enough for us to sit and watch the world go by. The back patio is accessed through bi-fold doors which would open up the whole of the house. A bit more shaded, we didn't use it this time, but can see that in the height of summer it would be a perfect place to sit. The bathroom is spacious, both the bedrooms are large and have big wardrobes and drawers, and the downstairs loo is a bonus. Llewelyn Street is narrow but we were able to park outside every day without problem and its position just off the High Street is perfect for shops, pubs, restaurants. It's also just a couple of minutes walk from the Quay and from there there's a lovely walk along to the marina. Alison is a great owner, helpful and available if you have any questions or need information.

The kitchen facilities were excellent.
Plenty of room in the oven and fridge and there were enough pans and utensils. The lounge was comfortable for 6 people as was the dining table although it was a bit wobbly. Instructions for things like the tvs would have been useful and saved us having to contact the owner. The location was good although we hadnât realised it was such a steep hill. With one infirm elderly person in our party we had to drive down into the town. Not the ownerâs fault, more our lack of research. The downstairs shower drenched the floor and could probably do with a curtain at the end. The upstairs toilet was very tight, you have to squeeze around the door to get in/out. If the door opened out it would be easier to use. These were minor annoyances though. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space and it was very tastefully furnished. The owner responded quickly to any queries and was really easy and friendly to deal with.
