What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely cottage, part of a farm that sits in its own, very quiet twenty acres, where dogs can safely be let off the lead in order to run around.
Cottage immaculately clean with everything you could need. Lovely, helpful hosts and it was nice to meet some of the caravan owners who were on the other side of the field. A great place to base yourself, whether you want to explore Cornwall or just chill sitting in the grounds. Mevagissey is lovely to visit (you'll walk round it quite quickly) but don't follow the satnav; the road is barely one car width! Pity the driver towing a caravan who meets the same coming from the opposite direction! We mentioned this to one of the caravaners and they'd followed the same route, though not towing, and found it hairy, too! Though it's a bit further, but doesn't take longer, go via St. Austell. Charlestown (near St. Austell), St. Mawes and Pendennis Castle (English Heritage, Falmouth) are worth visiting, as is The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which was superb value for money. We hope you enjoy your trip, as well as your stay at Vose Farm!

We all had a fantastic holiday in Manaccan.
We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Trerise Cottage was perfect; so clean and comfortable. All the amenities and facilities you could hope for plus it was bright and airy and we all had the space we craved. The area is beautiful; quiet and peaceful. We can heartily recommend The New Inn in the village (again, they were really welcoming and the Sunday carvery was awesome) and Sids Fish and Chips on a Tuesday evening. There are lovely walks to Helford (plus the ferry over to Helford Passage) and St Anthony/Gillans Creek. All in all, we had the exact holiday we wanted. As our family is growing up (this was possibly our last holiday all together) we were looking to just relax and spend quality time together. Mission accomplished. We'll definitely rebook for Trerise Cottage, I just hope this review doesn't make it impossible!

The cottage was lovely.
It probably had everything we needed, from a washing machine to salt and vinegar for our fish and chips. It was extremely clean, probably the cleanest place we have ever rented. One of the down sides was the layout of the living room, which meant everyone trying to watch the tv was difficult because of its position. Having the tv on a bracket that swings out would probably be better. The smallest bedroom also got very hot. Even though there was a fan in there, it really needs to be a bigger fan to make a difference. Having a washing machine and washing line to hang stuff out is a necessity with a family, however we discovered the washing line could have done with being over the opposite side of the garden. It only seemed to get the sun in a morning, so after lunch time it was in the shade, which meant washing didnt dry very well.

A very peaceful location, with well tended grounds.
Cottage building was attractive. Laundry facilities were good (rotary clothes line in small garden with a daisy filled lawn) and the cottage was clean. All bathroom and kitchen facilities operated well. We were surprised there was no âwelcomeâ kit with milk, tea and coffee or a few biscuits and no shower gel - the only accommodation where weâve found non of these ready. Weâd brought our own but these touches always make guests feel welcome, even if in small amounts. Towels were clean but rough. We were disappointed that there were no outdoor cushions to make the two metal chairs comfortable so we could enjoy a morning coffee and that the outdoor bench/ table was rotting and not comfortable for summer evening relaxation, where the pleasant surroundings could then be enjoyed. Date of experience: 01 June 2023

The cottage was so nice, we have already booked to return next year.
It was spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and the hosts were great. We would have welcomed a couple of reclining sun chairs/loungers for sunbathing in the garden, as the garden furniture wasnât ideal for that purpose and with it being a dog friendly cottage, we didnât fancy laying on the grass. If I could give one negative comment, it would be just one - that the mattress in the master bedroom was not very supportive and far too soft, with the sides collapsing when you sat on the side of the bed, but that is because we prefer a much firmer mattress. I guess itâs personal preference. Other than that, I could not fault the cottage in any way. As said, weâre back again next year and canât wait.
