  Spent a v enjoyable week with son, his partner and 10 yr old grandson. The large downstairs bedroom was perfect for me as I have mobility issues. Containing 2 v comfy big singles ( even the pillows were good- not always the case) and good sized walk-in shower in the ensuite. The lounge/diner floor to ceiling windows gives uninterrupted views to garden, fields and landscape beyond is v relaxing and gives a great sense of light and space. The upstairs bed and sep bath are enormous. The kitchen is tiny but appearances are deceptive as it is v well equipped and more than adequate for our needs. Just a mile walk( if you can ) is Coppet Hall beach. It's v clean with cafe and other amenities nearby but access is extremely inadeqaute - not just for disabled (wheelchair access is impossible) but families with pushchairs etc. This could and should be improved as once on the beach it is perfect for fun and games for all ages. I hadn't been to S'foot for some years but would love to come back soon and would certainly stay again at Stonecroft . Side note: A big thanks to the owner, Mr Frost who was v kind and accommodating, taking possession of and then retuning the wheelchair I hired for my stay

  That was a really great place!!! Good facilities in a great cottage in a lovely location. Host Rodger was charming and pointed out ‘places to go’. An interesting walk to the beach (about 15 mins, through church yard and fields. Dog loved it, but she really loved the beach – sand and shallow sea – ideal doggy location. Came home a bit early due to heavy rain tomorrow but other days were wall to wall sunshine. Rodger not at home when we left so popped a soggy note through his letter box.   The rug in the sitting room was filthy. It just needed someone to take it outside and give it a very thorough shake. One or two corners not quite as clean as one would like, though generally good. Surprised no cleaning cloths, unlike previous occasions we have stayed there. As this was unexpected, we had not taken any. All these are very small details; this is the third time we have stayed in this excellent property. Final score of 7, due to disappointing property taken last September.

  I do recommend cottage if you are looking to have relaxing and quiet week off with book in your hand and plenty of walks on your doorstep (perfect if you are bringing your dog).

  Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, garden where you can sip on your coffee and listen to the birds. Not forgetting about pub two doors down. Thoughtful owner that will check if you okay or need anything. Very helpful and pleasant neighbours. In the area... I recommend to visit family run micro brewery the Bluestone located in the same valley. Great place for coffee and small bite is Temple Bar (also family run) - cakes are fenomenal!). We would happily go back and stay again.

  Lovely comfortable and spacious.

  great garden too. quiet and private place. the 2 new doors to the wc and the bathroom need their catches adjusting. people kept getting stuck inside, or unable to open the doors from the outside one of the lounge table lamps had been mended but fell apart, also the bulb had gone. otherwise the cottage was perfect for the 5 of us plus one dog. the town of newport is gorgeous, loads of handy shops and the whole area truly beautiful with wonderful beaches and walks.
