The Cottage was a perfect place to stay to celebrate my wifeâs 60th birthday. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The welcome pack and a large carton of milk were a nice touch. Family and friends joined us for our stay and were really impressed with the property. The owners have thought of everything to make sure their visitors have a wonderful stay. The cottage is really well located under an archway just off the quayside and is close to shops, cafes and pubs. I was worried parking would be an issue but we parked at Stearmanâs Yard long stay car park just 5 mins walk away at a cost of £8.50 for 24 hours. You can get a weekly ticket if staying longer. I would highly recommend this cottage in the beautiful town of Wells-Next-The-Sea.

We arrived on a Friday at 7pm...and left the following morning. This property was not fit to rent out. Several other reviews mention the issue of cleanliness, but it was much worse than we expected. Rusty outdoor furniture, rubbish everywhere, rusty kitchen pans, broken toilet seat, dirty worktops, a rotten entry door, stains all over the kitchen tablecloth, trust me I could go on! We complained to Original Cottages but after several phone calls they said they could not move us. They offered to send cleaners in but that would not solve the issues. It needs a deep clean and a lot of NEW equipment. We will be making a formal complaint. Shocking. (On a positive note the TV was OK and the bed we had to sleep in was comfortable!)

The only thing I was less than happy with was the parking space, which was very tight and involved reversing down a narrow space between two walls. Luckily I have a small car - anyone with anything bigger than a Fiesta might struggle to open the door once parked! However this would not deter me from booking the cottage again, as I was able to find parking spaces in the road
