The cottage was just great for a large family with a dog.
It was 'well lived in' which meant we did not feel on edge about spoiling anything. It was such a great location , close to the beach but within walking distance from the town. The fridge could have been bigger and the kitchen a little larger but we coped. The only hitch was with the TV. Luckily we had our laptop with us and were able to connect it to the Smart TV with a cable the landlady had delivered to us. This might be useful to include in the cottage booking information as well as the fact that there is WIFI.

We had a wonderful holiday at Carriguisnagh.
Brilliant location. The children really enjoyed the great garden which was a secure area for play. The beds were very comfy and the house was cosy. One suggested improvement would be to install a larger fridge. We found the under counter fridge too small for the number of guests staying. We couldn't chill our drinks and only had space for limited chilled products. There is an ideal spot in the dining area for a full larder fridge. Otherwise we had everything we needed and had a fantastic time. Thank you.

It is a wonderful building in a fabulous unique position, unrivalled by any other in Ballycastle.
It is old, a bit shabby and would not suit anyone who is looking for a beautiful home. But, if like us, you have a family or a dog, it is a wonderful place where you can feel comfortable, without worrying about spoiling anything. Amanda, the owner met with us and made us feel part of the family. It is definitely not a home that would suit everyone but it did suit us and we will certainly return again.

For me this was an ideal holiday home, very well suited to a big group of people of various ages such as us.
We liked the homeliness of it, loved eating around the big dining table or sitting outside at the picnic table, taking in the wonderful surroundings. It is clean, well equipped and spacious but not so fancy that you felt concerned about bringing across sand from the beach. And the location is fabulous - a beautiful view to wake up to and a one minute walk to the sea! What more could you ask for?

Communication with the owner of the property was spot on and the location was stunning.
Sadly, cleanliness was less than perfect with cobwebs and dirt in most rooms and a strong musty smell. Some black mould in places. To be fair, the owner says they are resolving this with the contracted cleaner so hopefully wonât be a problem in future and I suspect was worse because we went in November. Probably not such an issue in summer.
