  Hillcrest is such a lovely place.

  Firstly, Malcolm & Nicola are lovely hosts. Warm and friendly people who care about the people who stay at Hillcrest. The house was very comfortable. A welcome box of goodies awaits you to start you off on your stay. Hillcrest sports Super King beds in both bedrooms. Large comfortable lounge. Equipped with TV, DvD player & electric fire. Well equipped kitchen. There's everything you need to cook up any meal. A home from home. Bathroom + toilet is downstairs. Powerful shower over bath with bath/shower mixer tap. Very well heated, with central heating radiators in every room, can be set via local timer and one touch operation. Open the double patio doors from the lounge and invite in the hugh garden space with large lawn where children can play, or your pets can run about. Its bordered by a gravel driveway, leading down to double driveway gates. Space for multiple cars. Over all, Hillcrest is an outstanding place to stay. The peace and tranquility at Hillcrest wraps around you like a comfort blanket, you'll find hard to leave behind. Hillcrest is not too far from Gainsborough and Lincoln. We found the George pub at Kirton Lindsay is a good place for food. With plenty of other places around. Theres a small shop like a Spar or OneStop just a few miles away. Its good for picking up your smaller items like, milk, bread etc. We would for certain, recommend Hillcrest to others. We hope we can return soon.

  A wonderful old mill house, with 4 large bedrooms (2 ensuite).

  Warm and comfortable, lots of parking. The host was amazing and left lots of goodies and was very helpful and friendly. This property was perfect for us, working in the area for the week, and good value for money. Directions could be a bit better. Hard to find in the dark, and the small sign to the property not visible from the main road. Google took us past the layby turning. I chose the smaller upstairs bedroom because it had a bedside table and lamp. This would be nice in all bedrooms. Kitchen could be better supplied: no washing up liquid, no spare bin bags (although the host provided these when asked), only one dishwasher pod, no kitchen roll and let down by very poor frying pans, with burnt bottoms. These need replacing really. Wifi was good, and house was wonderfully warm. The hot water was always plentiful, I think we only needed the boost once. Thank you for a great stay

  The property needs a little bit of ongoing maintenance in order to be used regularly by guests.

  For example the toilet seat is very loose and should be tightened occasionally. The sofa isn't particularly comfortable and the lounge table is rickety and is too big and in the wrong place to enable easy access to the rear garden. The front garden is dog proof but the rear hedge has a hole that our elderly dog with dementia found and decided to take himself for a walk. Appreciate that it's an old building but there are lots of splats on the walls and blinds where people have squashed spiders and flies and this makes the place look a little dirty. Lastly the kitchen cupboards weren't very well equipped with utensils. Other than this constructive criticism, it's a lovely place to stay.

  We had an enjoyable week with two friends at Lifford Coach House.

  It was a tasteful barn conversion, with an upside down layout which worked well. The Village had a Deli cafe two minutes in one direction and a pub 2 minutes in the other direction serving good food. The Location was good, with plenty of places to visit. Although the property was quite well equipped - it could be improved by adding hooks to doors in bedroom and bathroom and mirrors near plugs to dry hair after showering. Additional crockery would also be better, as there were only sufficient items for one meal. (4 of everything) Points set aside, we would recommend this property, as it is finished to a high standard.   The house and grounds are amazing. There is every possible thing you could ever need in the house; everything has been thoroughly thought through for a visitors stay. The option of an afternoon tea, which is a match for Betty's is amazing and the ploughmans fathers day lunch on the Sunday was a 9.5 out of10 for my husband. (A 10 wold have meant he was in Cornwall in a cider garden !!) high praise indeed. But most of all you are not just dog friendly you are dog welcome and it makes such a difference. Thank you so much for a brilliant long weekend. and for making sure we had an amazing stay. Elaine, Paul and Ella Bowers x.
