  We love the location and layout of the site which makes the most of the beautiful surroundings, and with Oban only a 10 minute drive away it was easy to get supplies. An unexpected bonus was that Scotland doesn't have the reduced Sunday trading hours that we have in England. The chalet/cabin was well equipped and snug, simply but tastefully furnished and with a particularly comfortable bed. It was also spotlessly clean. There were a couple of essentials missing from the kitchen – a small sharp knife and an oven glove – but Katie very quickly supplied replacements. She also brought us a DVD player when we were out for the day and sent me a very clear video of how to set it up. We were fortunate to have lovely weather during our stay there but had that not been the case the heating in the property would certainly have kept things cosy. We also appreciated that the cost of electricity was included in the rental price. We thought the site and the properties were well managed and Katie was charming and very responsive to requests for help or information.

  Found it very very hard to find. Pitch black very bad sign posting infact non existing. The barn pub was lovely as well as the staff.but no lights so not great walk to and from lodge.tge lodge pictures were not as it was.there was no views and took a £20 waver incase of damge.we had to keep milk outside as fridge was broken trays and glued the remaining shelves which didnt work.the cooker hood lights were hanging out and didnt work the shower worked too hot then freezing cold. The lodge itself was tidy. But wont be back ever again. Not worth the price paid.and owners were not interested when we reported the items being glued she said that was her husband that glues everything. Never again. Sorry

  We had an exceptionally peaceful holiday at this beautiful little site nestled into the rolling hills just outside Oban The cabin was spacious, clean and very well equipped enabling us to make ourselves completely at home from the moment we arrived. The bar and restaurant in site was cosy with a superb menu and friendly staff. We ate there on a few occasions and loved the atmosphere. Also great that dogs were made welcome and well accommodated for in the cabin, on the site and even in the bar. Walking on the doorstep up to a lovely loch and lots of great day trips out of Oban. Will definitely be back

  A gem of a location with Oban and it's gateway to the Highlands and Islands only a few miles away. We were met with a happy smile and a warm welcome and our cabin was spotlessly clean. The whole site exuded charm with friendly staff wherever you turned. The onsite 'The Barn' rustic bar and restaurant was no exception to the 'friendly' rule, which was further complemented with excellent food. Oh and lest I forget, if you leave a wee tidbit on your verandah you will enjoy at close quarters the charms of all sorts of songbirds. Would I visit again? You are darn right I would. Highly recommended!

  Our stay in the Skye Lodge was wonderful! Cologin Farm Lodges is in a beautiful, quiet location but just a quick drive to supermarkets and Oban. Having the Barn pub restaurant on site was so convenient. Katie on site was really friendly and helpful. My husband and I, and our dog!, had a lovely relaxing break!
