  It was a lovely setting.

  How nice to hear the farm animals and feel so secluded. The dogs loved the garden that they could run around freely in. We had some great meals nearby. The property was just what you needed. There were a few minor points. Some things felt like they were about to break - hadn’t but any minute could..these were the kitchen tap, blinds in the bedroom, one of the single beds and remotes for the tele. I was on edge knowing that we could be charged with them and had to be very careful. We would also have appreciated hand soap in at least one of the bathrooms, just because it has been at all the other properties we have stayed at so weren’t expecting to have to bring our own. On the whole though these were minor things and we would be happy to return. Thank you

  He lodge served its purpose regarding safety for our dog, with a secure space for her to use.

  However, getting to the lodge entailed going up a potholed unmade farm track, which was most unsatisfactory. We did not use the dishwasher because of the smell when we opened it. Two days of the holiday were spoiled by an overwhelming stench from the piggery adjacent to the lodge. The cleaners did a superficial job, with much dust in less accessible spaces such as between the bedside cabinets and the bed. (I dropped my glasses into the space and came up covered in dust), and we had to pour bleach and hot water down the sink to unblock it. We left early.

  The lodge was in a pretty and peaceful location it was very clean well equipped stunning kitchen comfy sofas and beds.

  Unfortunately hob not working this was rectified next day when table top hob supplied. Could do with second side table in lounge area. Tv only had small selection of terrestrial channels. Frame around sky light had been botched up. Step into shower very high and could have been much lower when originally installed. Toilet in main bathroom difficult to flush and needed new syphon. Mirror in dressing area needs lowering when sat on stool could only see top half of my head. Overall good lodge but above issues need rectifiying. Site reception never open

  The hot tub wasn’t available for use on the first night as hadn’t been switched on early enough so was far too cold until the following day.

  Outside light at the front is not working. The 4 keys aren’t labelled so difficult to know which one to use each time. The towels had a musty smell to them but the bedding was lovely and clean and smelled fine. There were a few hairs on the toilet and around the bathroom and one of the toilets was unclean. Other than that we had a great stay and everything else was just as advertised. Everything that’s needed for a stay was at the lodge and the heating was suitable for this time of year (restricted at 22 degrees). Would go again.

  We were moved into a different chalet at the last minute due to water problems.

  The chalet address is 225 Third Avenue. It was filthy kitchen utensils dirty ,grease everywhere ,stained and dirty cups and microwave. The skirting boards and round the edges of carpet disgusting. Towel radiator did not work. Lukewarm water. Multi plug extension leads everywhere and wires. I have taken some photos. It generally spoilt our holiday. Sorry to report this but we have used your company before and been very impressed with the accommodations we have stayed in. You really need to see it to believe it. Disappointed Mrs Jayne Coles
