What our customers say about their holidays

Wow, what can i say!
Exceptional doesn't begin to say enough about this beautiful cottage and surroundings. My husband and i went for 4 nights with our 2 excited Huskies, and were immediately welcomed by the hosts. The pictures do not do this cottage justice as it has been updated. The minute we walked in we felt at home. The wonderful finer details to the cottage were stunning and i couldn't hide my amazement to the wonderful, friendly hosts. It literally has everything you could ask for. From 2 enormous sofas, the extremely comfortable kingsize bed, the wonderful shower with the largest showerhead i have ever seen! It even has a small utility/ doggy room with extra sink, toilet, husky fridge and separate large freezer. The outside seating area has a wonderful view of the manicured gardens and beyond with a bbq and wood burner for us to use. The lovely walks surrounding the property exhausted our 2 huskies and my husband! There were 3 pubs within 5 minutes drive. I can personally recommend "the boars head" which had a wonderful outside seating area. If you are contemplating this cottage. Please dont hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Quite frankly, i think this property is undervalued. Thanks again Mark, Mark and Kieran who were the best hosts imaginable. We are already planning to go again soon.

Where do I start.
We were booked in for a week, but only could stay 3 nights, as there was an awful smell from the boiler when it fired up, and it was not heathy, we reported it to the number given to us and was told there was nothing wrong with the boiler, it was coming from outside, but reading a feedback that has not gone on your website other people have raised the issue of the boiler !!!! There was no teapot in the cottage which after ringing the Owner who was away on holiday, got someone to drop one off, but said there has never been a one in the cottage. !!!! Then thereâs more dirty utensils, we had to wash everything and the freezer had four drawer but couldnât get them open properly because it all needed defrosting, I told the Owner but she couldnât do anything because she was away on holiday, I was on holiday as well!!!! Dirty baking trays which I have thrown better away. The light switch cord in the upstairs bathroom was to say the least filthy. We reported this all to Sykes, but on a plus side of things the beds were very comfortable. .

Myself and my 2 adult children and my teenage son and our dog had an very enjoyable 4 night stay which was booked very last minute.
The owners were extremely helpful having the property ready with 2 hours notice of us arriving! This is a delightful property on a working farm, renovated to a high standard and tastefully furnished/decorated, the beds were particularly comfortable, I had the best nights sleep! The owners are helpful and friendly and only 5 mins away incase of any issues. They were very quick to respond to our âNoâ hot water or heating predicament one evening which turned out to be the wind had just blown it out so was rectified very easily and quickly. They were also very understanding when my adult son with autism became obsessed with setting the fire alarm off! The only negative I have is the lack of a washing machine which would have been a issue for us if we stayed any longer. The owners are looking into putting one in the property or guests having access to one. You honestly wonât be disappointed a lovely cottage in a lovely part of the country.

Beautiful cosy little cottage down a quiet country lane in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding pretty towns of Nantwich, Audlem and further afield.
We visited in November and the cottage was warm and comfortable, with a smart TV and little electric fire for those rainy afternoons. The kitchen is well appointed and modern with a dishwasher. The memory foam bed was comfortable and the rainfall shower a real highlight. The garden is extensive and off-road parking right outside the cottage. We visited with our dog and enjoyed plenty of local walks, including down the back lanes to the local garden center, there was also a full under-counter freezer for her raw food and a utility room with washing machine, wine cooler and dog bowls. The only improvement I could think of would be a set of sharp knives rather than serrated ones in the kitchen. Definitely follow the arrival instructions after booking and approach from the north, the approach from the south of the lane requires crossing a ford and using a significantly muddy road. Overall a cosy little bolt hole.

This was a lovely base for exploring Cheshire and Shropshire.
I don't know why this is listed as 'North Wales' - it's not in Wales at all. You can drive there from here, but it's quite a distance. It's much more suited bimbling around the area and going up to Chester for a day. The cottage is attached to the owners' house but feels separate. The garden is a joy, with places to sit out in summer, ducks and chickens to talk to and plenty of space to play 'fetch' with the owners' dogs. In the summer the plants outside the windows are alive with bees and butterflies and the trees are busy with birds and the occasional squirrel. The owners are very friendly and kind, and gave helpful suggestions for day trips and finding local amenities. The only thing I could find fault with was the limited storage space for dry goods in the kitchen, mainly because the cupboards are filled with practically every implement you could need.
