  A very comfortable and visually appealing cottage in a perfect locationA lovely cottage in a nice, quiet location with very friendly locals. A very pretty 5 minute walk down Church Path to the local pub. Very well located for Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, RSPB Minsmere, Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham forest, Orford Ness, Southwold etc. A high-end, picturesque cottage and garden, very comfy with a nice mix of traditional and modern furnishings. It was nice to have the opportunity to sit outside on the patio. A weather related issue we had with the cottage was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the owner.   Opening the door to The Piglets we got the WOW factor.

  We had taken our granddaughters 23 and 21 on holiday to Suffolk, after taking them on many holidays through the years abroad and UK, they both loved this wonderful find. Close to all places for sightseeing, set in a lovely garden, where we enjoyed relaxing, chatting and two evenings in the hot tub. Our little dog loved it too. The girls enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a nice touch welcoming us on our arrival together with doggy treats for our pooch. The space between the bedrooms, both with en-suite had been well thought out. To be honest we could not have wanted for more that’s why we have rated this a 10. Which is rare as we have been to many places promising everything to be disappointed! Not here if you are looking for lovely accommodation in an excellent location look no further! The only warning is if you sit outside in the garden or hot tub on a warm night be sure to take care of the mosquitoes, one of our granddaughters got bitten and she is allergic to them but here again she received excellent service from the doctors surgery. If you should have any problems, which I doubt, the owners are nearby and are very helpful with very well behaved children, who deliver logs to your door should you need them. Excellent holiday without any disappointments

  Piglets was a lovely place to stay and felt like home from home.

  Extremely well equipped and you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The welcome gift of wine, biscuits and dog treats was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Kim and Neil were supper friendly and helpful. Kim popped over to introduce herself and let us know how to contact her should we need to. It was really helpful knowing they were Nextdoor, but I must say it was not intrusive in any way. Piglets felt rural, but had great access to all the amenities and attractions. The weather was awful during our stay, but it gave an excuse to light the log burner, sit back relax and enjoy being cosy while watching rain and wind outside. We had a bit of a medical issue while staying at piglets, and it was great to know Kim was close by. Both Kim and Neil were extremely helpful and supportive during our hour of need. Thank you

  We spent the most enjoyable week staying at Myrtle Cottage. It was well equipped, beautifully clean with lovely touches from a welcoming bouquet of flowers, card and bottle of wine to ice cubes in the fridge - it was a hot week ! There was plenty of information about the property, how to use all the appliances and a great selection of DVDs, books and games - we really enjoyed re-visiting the whole series of Sharpe! It was good to know upfront that parking could be tricky and it was but we managed and a lovey chap called Mike who does the garden was really helpful on that front. There was also plenty of information about the local area and it is in such a great position , near the coast and near a Waitrose - who could ask for more on a holiday !

  Myrtle Cottage - the perfect Suffolk hideaway.After the year we have all had this was a special break for my parents-in-law. On arrival Mrs Flower, my mother-In-law, asked me if we were in the right cottage. The smile on her face was a delight.Location is very good, with Saxmundham only a short drive away for your food shop, Waitrose and Tesco. Plus an excellent Fish n Chips Take-Away on the main high street. Amazing butchers in Aldeburgh, Salter and King. Plus the Noon tarts from the Smoke House, just perfect.The front garden is just beautiful and the perfect spot for a sundowner, weather permitting. But we did manage on most days.I look forward to returning with my parents as I know they will love it just as much as Mrs Flower.
