The owners of this property have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure people have a lovely experience when they stay here. The house is fabulous and the kitchen/diner/family room was a pleasure to spend time in. Leading out onto a very good sized garden which is safe and secure for our dogs which is very important to us. Lovely patio area to chill out on too. Kitchen has everything you could need and a very useful utility room too. There are lots of games provided amongst other things there which is very thoughtful. Scattergories was very popular! At the end of the road is a lovely public house/restaurant called The White House with a lovely beer garden looking onto the gold course and spectacular views of the coast. The centre is around a 15 minute walk, but beware of the 'incline' coming back up! Whitby is a very dog friendly place which was a massive bonus for us. Lots of places to visit and explore but just too little time. We have therefore booked again for next year and can't wait! A friend recommended Yorkshire holidays to us and I have to say they have been excellent to deal with.

Modern unassuming property in a quiet location yet close to town centre. Exceptionally well equipped and thought out, for small family or two couples. Beds firm but comfortable. Welcoming text message from owner on our arrival, followed by personal visit from them to put the bins out for collection just before our departure. Oodles of leaflets for places to visit, as you would expect, plus parking discs for use in zoned areas of town. Early departure time not a problem as there are several places offering breakfast from 9:30. Highly recommend Sanders Yard bistro. Borrowed parking discs while out for breakfast, then made short detour to return them through letter box before leaving for home. Restful and relaxing long weekend, despite winds and showers.

Good location, excellent parking space, comfortable, warm and attractive open plan area. Let down by cleanliness. Superficial clean only. For example behind chest of drawers it was thick with cobwebs my wife has a fear of spiders and they were also in main bedroom wardrobes. Hidden areas clearly not cleaned for months if not years. Expect better for a thousand pound a week. Bed in main bedroom was loose and we had to tighten fixings fortunately tool was in utility. Good range of equipment but some of it dated or poor quality eg hob and tumble dryer very slow by today's standards. Pity about all of this a little more loving care invested in property would have made all difference.
