  We stayed at Fern Cottage during the October half term.

  The cottage itself is just lovely, everything is so well thought out, and extremely well equipped. The owner, Jo left a lovely welcome pack for us and checked in with us by text the next day to make sure we had settled. We were a family of 5 staying and there was plenty of room for us all , both at the dining table and snuggled in front of the log burner. The cottage was spotless. Elsworth village is beautiful, lots of different walks for the dogs and the pubs (Poacher and George & Dragon ) are both within walking distance. Lovely friendly well stocked village shop. I would thoroughly recommend Fern Cottage both for the location and the cottage itself. Thank you Jo, you do an excellent job.

  Cannot praise fern cottage enough!

  We stayed here for a long weekend when going to a wedding locally, and it was a fantastic base. Really comfortable, spotlessly clean, and a really well designed space (nice sized rooms, good storage, and a nice open downstairs space, but with privacy if you wanted it). The owners were really welcoming, and even had provided age appropriate toys for the kids (a baby and a toddler), and an allergy appropriate welcome basket. Normally, travelling with 2 small kids is about 10 times more tiring than staying at home, but we actually managed to relax a bit here, which is high praise indeed!

  We booked Fern Cottage for a 60th birthday celebration.

  Jo was so helpful to get the property ready early on arrival date & even decorated the cottage for us - it makes such a difference when the owner goes above & beyond to make your visit so pleasant. The cottage is brilliant & in an excellent location, with a couple of nice pubs in walking distance & plenty of walks for the dogs - even if a bit muddy in February. We made great use of the TV Room to watch England beat France in 6 Nations, so that was a nice bonus to a really excellent weekend, at a lovely property, with a really helpful owner. I would 100% recommend Fern Cottage

  We absolutely loved our stay at Fern Cottage - it’s the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in so far!

  Such a brilliant open plan layout with a separate TV room, and the massive TV is ideal for a movie night! The kitchen has everything you need and was perfect for cooking our Christmas lunch! We’re always on the lookout for comfortable beds and sofas and this house had both. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, for us and the dogs, and Jo, the owner, was really helpful and friendly too. It’s in a perfect location for visiting nearby Cambridge and we also drove up to Ely which was about 30 mins away. We will definitely be returning!

  Super stay at Fern Cottage.

  We were a group of 4 adults age range 55 to 87 and one black lab. House is very comfortable and easy to settle in to with semi open plan downstairs, ideal. Lovely enclosed outdoor space to rear with good outside lighting. Easy walk to both village pubs with short cut through Church yard to George & Dragon ! Lovely week spent discovering the beautiful Cambridgeshire towns and villages - Ely, St Ives, Cambridge (of course) St Neots, Saffron Walden over the border!
