  Exactly as advertised, this is an outstanding and very special accommodation. We were a party of 5 and just loved it - the space, the architecture, the privacy ... Huge, very comfortable beds, nice linen, kitchen perfectly equipped.Would have loved to stay longer! When we strolled in the park, it felt as if it belonged to us - just two old ladies with their dogs around, and a very friendly gardener who's been working there for 50 years! (We were there during the week) If I had to mention anything that is not quite so wonderful (apart from the steep and winding staircase which we were well aware of), it would be the en-suite bedroom on the 1st floor (which we had) which, in comparison to the 2 grand and beautiful other bedrooms, is on the small side (you just manage to get around the huge bed), rather simple in design and with a (very low) window we didn't dare open for fear it might get stuck. The wash basin in the adjacent toilet/ bathroom was ridiculously small for my husband who does a wet shave. And an old wooden floor which, for a wet room, may not be the best choice. But these are minor drawbacks - the overall experience, whether sitting in the kitchen around the circular centre work top, in the period lounge or the majestic winter garden with sweeping views of the park, was a wonderful one.

  We had the most amazing holiday at The temple of Diana. From the minute we entered the parkland, driving through over bridges and through gates, past a lake and into the property, the children were entranced. The property was spotlessly clean, with fresh bedding and towels. Huge comfortable beds. We split the beds in the top tower room for the children and they loved it up there. Climbing up the tower to bed was so exciting! The kitchen is really well equipped and had everything we needed to cook every night. The bathrooms are clean and with 3 showers there was never a queue! The highlight for us was the orangery and we spent most of our time in here, reading, relaxing, watching the wildlife. There are walks straight from the door across parkland and around the lake and woods. The visitors, who were mostly near the house and hardly came up to the temple, went home by 6 and then the children had the big adventure playground to themselves! We loved every second of our time here, we didn’t actually leave the place for the whole holiday. We would love to come back soon.

  This is a wonderful & unique place to stay. You are surrounded by the beauty of the gardens & the historic nature of the building. It is not for everyone. If you are in any way handicapped or a very large person, this will probably not work for you. There are LOTS of small curving stone stairs to climb to all the bedrooms. You must go down the stairs first to the kitchen/TV room level & then climb another set of stairs to the bedrooms. We are all fit/healthy so had no problems with this. There are also several gates that you must physically open to drive thru to get to the house. It is a very inconvenient house to live in with all the stairs, etc. but we really enjoyed our time here – it’s historic so you should expect some inconvenience. The place is so beautiful, it was worth any inconvenience. The kitchen is well appointed & all the appliances worked. The furniture, beds, etc. are in very good condition & we all slept well. There is plenty of hot water & water pressure in all the showers. It was very clean.

  Stunning accommodation where attention to detail has been applied everywhere.

  The kitchen is well equipped with x2 freezers and fridges and drinks fridges galore (here and in the bar / games room). The dining room has the largest dining table I’ve ever seen outside a stately home and we had Lee Lance (private chef) cook a brilliant meal for us on the Saturday. The bedrooms and en-suites are large and luxurious with very comfortable beds. The games room / cinema room and cellar bar are brilliant. Our top area has to be the pool which is just amazing - large / warm / dressing room and loo in the same area / towels galore and inflatables galore - there’s also a lovely sauna. Our grandchildren spent the weekend in the pool and didn’t want to leave. Jay the owner was helpful and very informative as to how this listed farm building had undergone such a glorious transformation. A fabulous place to stay as a treat / celebration and we cannot recommend it highly enough. I hope we can go back for longer than a weekend in the future.

  Upon arrival there was a note stating the water was not fit to drink or wash food. We were not notified of this prior to arrival. Containers of water were provided to drink but it would have been good to have been aware of this before hand. Beautiful property but communication non existent. Prior to arrival impossible to contact Weston Park as their instructions requested. During stay we had a problem with the heating and despite phoning housekeeping and the emergency contact no. at the stated available times, there was no reply and no facility to leave a message. We also tried to contact Weston Park via Rural Retreats and despite them promising someone would contact us, this did not materialise. It seems once you have paid in full they do not want to know. We have stayed at another property within Weston Park twice previously and intended to book again in the future. This was not a cheap break and we expected a higher level of service.
