  We've had a fantastic week at Birch House with a 2-and-a-half-year-old! The weather has been quite mixed with a couple of really blustery and rainy days so it's been the perfect house to come back to and enjoy for it's warmth, comfort and light space. We didn't realise there were sea views so that was a bonus. And our toddler was so excited to watch the cows, pigs, goats, rabbits and birds! The house is really beautifully done up and well-equipped. We've loved the upstairs for its light and space. It's very well situated so we've made the most of exploring the beaches, towns and other tourist attractions. Favourite beaches were Hollywell and Chapel Porth, the latter where I foraged for mussels and they were delicious! Thank you for sharing your fantastic home.

  The proximity of this property to Padstow harbour and amenities is awesome! A 5 minute walk and you are in the heart of the town. The property was very disappointing. It is not 4 star as shown on the website, or 3 star as shown on the front of the property, it's more 2 star. The kitchen is too small, there is no storage. We had a Tesco shop arrive and no where to put it! The fridge/freezer combo is smaller than a small dishwasher. There is an overwhelming smell of wet dog, even though we have a dog this was above and beyond! The photos are very out of date, the garden front and back is overgrown with large weeds. Sadly this was not what we were expecting for a 4 star accommodation and we would not recommend.

  We had a fantastic weekend at 21 Meadow Retreat, it was such an enjoyable, relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful stay.

  The large hot tub was amazing, being well maintained daily and located in a secluded position with easy access from all the rooms. The lodge is located on a great plot, with huge wrap around south facing decking with wonderful scenic views. A superbly appointed master bedroom suite was complimented by a twin bedroom with long and comfortable beds. It has a very well-equipped kitchen with an enormous countertop making the open-plan main room such a sociable space. The booking process with Sykes Cottages was very smooth. The Southern Halt customer communication has significantly improved since our last stay with the benefit of the on-site office. Cannot wait to stay again!

  Pretty much perfect really!

  Compact but not overly so, with plenty of open space and good sight lines to keep an eye on the dogs. Nicely furnished, warm and cosy. Clean and everything seemed well taken care of. Really secure outside for dogs too - the parking area is gated, and the little fenced off-leash garden is brilliant. Excellent pasties and cinnamon buns left for us were a welcome treat as well. If I really have to nitpick, a second roll of toilet paper and some basic shampoo/shower gel (even just miniatures) would be appreciated, and the toilet seat doesn’t stay up which was a bit awkward as a guy! Thanks for a lovely stay - we’d love to come back, if you’ll have us!

  What a beautiful property, we have enjoyed our sunny mornings on the terrace! 5* for all of the amenities at this wonderful holiday home, we have really enjoyed the comfort, quietness and luxury. We have had wonderful visits to The Lost Gardens Of Heligan and of course The Eden Project - highly recommended. St Agnes village is so pretty, we have eaten at the Peterville Inn - very dog friendly and a lovely menu! Mevagissey harbour is well worth a visit and the beach at Godrevy is the most stunning I have seen. (National trust members - free car park). Lovely beach walks at St Ives, Hayle and Perranporth.
