The fact that it has two sitting rooms meant that the children could disappear occasionally to either play with toys or watch television. Alternatively they could be in the same room when meals were being prepared etc. The garden is the real bonus - it is large and secure and big enough for ball games etc. All the seating and beds etc are very comfortable. Fantastic place to stay, everything we needed.
Small and compact but we knew that and with three adults it was just fine. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had all we needed to make this a very enjoyable place to stay. Despite the weather which was pretty bad we still managed to walk over 40 miles and when we got back we could get everything dry and ready to go again the next day. Banham Zoo was right next door and well worth the visit. The only difficulty was with the WiFi while on site but as soon as we got to the car mobile data picked up so getting directions was never a problem and we always take maps anyway. If you were reliant on WiFi you might struggle, thankfully we're not.

A peaceful retreat and family holiday. The family have never been to Norfolk before and we didn't quite know what to expect. It is such a beautiful area with spectacular birding and wildlife. The beaches are very wide and golden, just right for our toddler grandson. We found so much to do that a week really wasn't enough so we will be back. The property was great for all generations and the large garden was well used for toddler bike rides and golf games as well as barbecues and breakfast in the sunshine. The house is well equipped and was never cold. We have all fallen in love with North Norfolk.

Great to be back in Norfolk and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dix Cottage. Came expecting poor weather and we have had sunshine every day and only occasional rain. Some very high tides affected the crabbing but made for some very dramatic landscapes. Enjoyed meals at the Jolly Sailors and the Railway Inn in Docking. Lovely lunch at the deli, and too many Mims ice creams! Everyone enjoyed the trip to Bircham windmill and the breadmaking. We always do the Blackbeard Adventure Golf and we have left a free go for one person, won on the 19th hole. Enjoy!
