  Old Norton Cottage was cosy, well equipped with an excellent, modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Although the enclosed garden was not guaranteed dog-proof we found it was fine for a small dog to be loose there under supervision which is always very helpful when travelling with pets. The cottage was also cool inside during the hotter days with the option of sitting outside in the lovely garden when we wanted to sit in the sunshine. The cottage is tucked away in the quiet village which is ideal for relaxing at the end of a busy day. But we also enjoyed being within walking distance to amenities such as shops and pubs as well as the town of Porthcawl. Having the coastal path within easy reach on foot for morning walks was a real treat.

  Wow! what a beautiful property. The owner was very helpful and showed he cared not just about the property but about his guests. We were blown away at how beautiful the cottage was and particularly blown away on how much thought had gone into not only the restoration of the cottage in the first place but about every individual item that was perfectly placed to make it a traditional welsh cottage. Everything was clean. The bed was comfy and the bedroom well set up. The bathroom was lovely with everything you want. Garden was beautiful and just right to sit out in the mornings and watch the birds. Will definately visit again when we next decide to go to South Wales.

  Lovely traditional cottage tucked away. Lovely safe setting for dog. Very peaceful but within easy reach of shops, pubs and beaches. We fell in love with the cottage. It was the perfect base and felt like home. Ray is brilliant. Came and greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed and remained on-call for our stay. We didn’t need to call him - everything was perfect! Would recommend for a lovely, peaceful get-away with access to fantastic places to visit

  We were very comfortable in this lovely cottage for our week there. The owner called a few times and was very helpful. The Wi-Fi had excellent reception, so very useful for dealing with a few urgent issues at home and a Zoom call for a couple of hours. We appreciated the flowers and Welsh cakes on arrival and would recommend Old Norton Cottage for anyone wanting to stay in that area and for walking the coastal path.

  Absolute fantastic stay at this lovely cottage, our host was wonderful and left some beautiful flowers, Welsh cakes and lots of other bits in the cottage which was fantastic to walk into! Location of the property was amazing, walking distance to two beautiful beaches and lots lots more, very pet friendly and the cottage itself was stunning, very spacious and lots of room. Thank you for a wonderful trip
