About this property

Part of a family wine estate surrounded by incredible untouched landscapes, Fleur D’Amandier is a graceful haven perched above the dramatic ridges of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Stone terraces tumble below, framed by ancient oak woods, fruit trees and vines, and the private swimming pool awaits for long, leisurely summer days.

Crafted with love, this refined residence is both intimate and generous. Hand hewn stone walls glow in the golden afternoon light, accentuating characterful interiors. Step through the arched doorway and discover the charming living and dining space with large windows framing the idyllic scenery, whilst a traditional kitchen awaits for preparing Provençal al-fresco feasts to be served beneath the pergola.

The main house sleeps up to 11 guests across five en suite bedrooms, each exuding individual charm and character. Just next door, an artistic annexe house welcomes another 4 guests with its open-plan living room and kitchen alongside two large bedrooms and bathrooms (one en suite).

Days at Fleur D’Amandier unfold with purpose and pleasure. Mornings are for slow breakfasts, perhaps followed by adventurous treks on the estate’s winding woodland paths or a game of tennis on the private court. A dip in the swimming pool cools the afternoon heat, then as evening gathers you’re drawn to the terrace, glass of estate Viognier in hand, to watch the valley glow in sunset hues.

Beyond this remote setting, there is so much to explore. Whether winding through the Dentelles de Montmirail on foot, climbing its rocky faces, cycling toward Mont Ventoux or discovering local artisans’ studios, the pace feels just right. Local markets brim with Provençal produce, vineyards dot the landscape and cultural hotspots like Avignon, Vaison la Romaine and Valréas are perfect days out.

Fleur D’Amandier is ideal for guests seeking an immersive escape where authenticity and comfort meets breathtaking landscapes. Picture yourselves here: savouring the calm, sampling the wine, exploring the heights - a Provençal story waiting to unfold.

Fleur D’Amandier enjoys an incredible setting in Provence with magnificent views of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Part of a family-run wine estate and working vineyard in the mountains, this is a remote and spectacular location, 2.5km from a small village in the Vaucluse department of southern France. Wine-tasting is of course possible (the wine cellar is 550m away) and there are some incredible hikes from your doorstep. The estate’s tennis court is around 250m from the houses.

Explore the nearby town of Malaucène (9.5km), a characterful Provençal hub nestled at the base of Mont Ventoux. Here you'll find a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafés, bike hire and a bustling weekly market. For those seeking more artisan flair, Beaumes de Venise is equally close – a charming village famed for its sweet Muscat wine, local produce and intimate dining spots tucked between olive groves and vineyards.

Just a short drive away, Le Barroux Abbey (8km) offers acontemplative experience – this tranquil Benedictine monastery sits serenely among the pines, offering Gregorian chant services and peaceful grounds perfect for a quiet stroll.

Meanwhile, the enchanting hilltop village of Séguret (13km), officially listed as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, is a delight to wander with its cobbled lanes, timeless stone facades and sweeping valley views, around half an hour by car.

Heading north, Vaison-la-Romaine (13km) is a treasure trove of Roman history, from its amphitheatre and ancient bridge to its atmospheric upper town crowned by a medieval castle. Further afield, venture into the Drome Provençale to discover the towns of Nyons and Valréas, celebrated for olive oil, lavender and a gentle, sun-drenched pace of life.

For longer day trips, drive south to the cultural splendour of Avignon (42km) with its Palais des Papes and renowned theatre festival, or visit the antique markets and waterways of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (38km). The picture-postcard village of Gordes (42km), perched dramatically above the Luberon, makes for a breathtaking end to a day of Provençal discovery.
