6 adults stayed for New Year plenty of room. Lodge is so well equipped and everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable. We were all took aback by this. Lovely Christmas card and two bottles of Prosecco as a welcome which was so kind. Hot tub was a dream and we got around to local places including Matlock and Bakewell. Based on a farm which was lovely and rural. A real chance to switch off and relax! Thank you!

There were no table and chairs on the decking or rug as in your photos. The table and chairs had been replaced with a picnic table and fixed benches which is not what you expect when dining outside and not elderly friendly. If we had used this we would have struggled to get on the benches and could not have relaxed after the meal. The hot tub was not maintained/ checked every day as stated in the Useful information book. In this book it stated the hot tub would be checked by the maintenance man at 7am daily. We were up by 7 am sometimes sitting out on the decking and never saw anyone attend to this during our stay. We set a couple of traps during our stay which confirmed no one had attempted to take the lid off this to check it. Reading other reviews I am aware someone else has mentioned this. Perhaps the owner should have a chart fixed to the fencing on the decking which the maintenance person can complete with date, time, what they did and sign to confirm as this would give users reassurance to use it safely. The outside of the Lodge was also showing signs of age/deterioration and looks tired. Perhaps on weeks when this is not let the owner could do some improvements as it is important the outside is maintained. We were disappointed we did not get to meet the ownerJanet. Others have raved about her hospitality and a welcome pack!!
