Guests say

The Old Haybarn receives glowing praise for its immaculate cleanliness, modern and comfortable interiors, and peaceful rural setting. Guests consistently highlight the well-equipped kitchen, luxurious hot tub, and the welcoming, helpful hosts. The farm animals and guided tours are a hit with families, and the property’s secure, spacious grounds are ideal for children. While Wi-Fi can be patchy and summer temperatures upstairs may be high, these minor issues do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The cottage is highly recommended for a relaxing countryside break with easy access to local attractions.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as exceptional, with numerous guests calling the property spotless, immaculate, and very well maintained. No significant negative comments were made regarding cleanliness.

The rural location is praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to the Peak District and local attractions. Some mention that amenities require a short drive, but this is not seen as a drawback.

Guests find the cottage cosy, spacious, and comfortable, with high-quality mattresses and bedding. The only minor issue noted was warm bedroom temperatures during hot weather, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

Facilities are highly rated, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, secure parking, and child-friendly outdoor space. Occasional comments mention small towels and a minor charge for extra toilet rolls, but these do not significantly impact satisfaction.

Hosts are frequently described as friendly, helpful, and accommodating, often providing farm tours and responding promptly to requests. While some guests mention extra touches and farm-fresh eggs, please note that such gifts or experiences are not guaranteed.

We had an Excellent stay at the old hay barn . This holiday farm has animals and there’s a chance you can buy fresh eggs . The cottage itself has everything you would need and the living space is comfortable. We visited the Peak District from here & the West Midlands outlet on our one rainy day Lovely quiet site

One of the most relaxing holidays we have had for a long time. Excellent accommodation, very clean and tidy and friendly hosts. We were given a tour of the farm which the kids loved. Lots of nice villages and farm cafes nearby, as well as bigger things within a reasonable driving distance - Peak District, Chatsworth House, Alton Towers.

Had a fantastic holiday at the Old Haybarn. The cottage was extremely clean and well stocked with everything you needed. Our 20 month old grandaughter loved the outdoor space, which was totally fenced in, so very safe. Also the visits of the chickens and cockerel were very popular.
