Peacefully set in Peakland countryside, this 16th-century barn conversion is only a mile and a half from Carsington Water, with its nature trails, wildlife sanctuary, riding, water sports, cycle hire, pub/restaurant and shops. Attached to the owners’ home, it has its own south-facing garden and enjoys shared use of extensive grounds. Kedleston Hall and the spectacular scenery of Dove Dale are both within 6 miles, and Ashbourne’s shops, inns and activities are within 10 minutes’ drive. Cycling and walking on the Tissington Trail (4 miles). Alton Towers, 12 miles. Shop and pubs 2 miles.

Rural property, need to take provisions with you as no welcome pack of milk & Ashbourne nearest shop.Description of property does not make it clear that kitchen is on the ground floor whilst rest of facilities upstairs (caused problem with dog as I don't allow her upstairs)..Tea towels, bath mat etc were tired & could do with replacing. The water trap in the shower was very dirty which the host came in & cleaned when requested.Upside The property is set in it's own large grounds that the owner allows you the freedom to exercise your dog & it is very quiet with lovely views from the main garden.Not the best place I have stayed but adequate if you just need somewhere to sleep.
