The county town of Matlock is just 2 miles away and was popular from 1698 until 1950 for its warm springs that provided water therapy to travellers from near and far. Today the town provides a host of fabulous eateries, great shops, a fascinating museum and at the heart of the town, Leys Hall Park provides a lovely setting for a host of recreational activities including bowls, mini golf, tennis, boating and a children’s play area. A short drive will bring you to plenty of attractions such as Heights of Abraham, a magnificent hilltop park with cable car rides, fossil exhibitions at the museum and an abundance of tranquil walking paths. If you are searching for adventure throughout your stay, nearby is the Peaks and Paddles Outdoor Adventure centre, which offers guided outdoor activities including canoeing, abseiling, and caving. The nearby High Peak Cycle Trail provides a wonderful experience, whilst the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall are within easy reach. The accommodation was spotless, well equipped and situated in a very peaceful location. The bed was really comfortable and the shower very powerful. There was also plenty of seating outside.. Everything felt like new and of a very high standard.All in a great location to explore the local area.

My husband, dog and I had a lovely mini break, in this lovely holiday let. It was literally home from home... Clean and everything we needed. The location was stunningly beautiful. We recommend the local pub, The Gate Inn... reasonably priced with delicious food and a mile from the let.. We would, definitely book again some day. Highly recommended especially for couples and 1 dog.

The outside space was absolutely amazing too!Sue and Andrew were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble!We would definitely recommend the Hollies and we can't wait to return hopefully, very soon!
