While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are mentioned, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cabin has been well thought through on creation, but now feels neglected and unloved. It has such potential if only it was being cared for. The location is relaxing and quiet, with beautiful views. There is a lack of light pollution, and had there been less cloud, I'm sure the night skies wou.d have been amazing. The cabin is a good size and as it is only 1 of 2 on the site, is peaceful, with effective heating for all year use. There is also p.enty of parking on site, however.........dust on the cobwebs was the least of the issues. The towels were hard and scratchy, and had a strange non-pleasant, smell when damp. The quilt also smelt of something reminding me of cheesy feet. The decking by the hot tub has a rubber mat that has not been raised for some time resulting in algae growing under it, and the mat slipped when I trod on it. The dish drainer had white damp growth on it, (apart from the limescale). The equipment had not been checked: the microwave hadn't been wiped out, the frying pan had a black burnt surface, one of the non-stick pans had a damaged coating, which would have led to particles getting into any food in it.Not an issue, but an observation for others: the lighting on the paths is solar, so in winter, with less sunlight, the charge is not as good, so don't stay lit as long. With the lack of light pollution, it is a dark walk on the paths, but phones have torches these days...The time spent there was overall enjoyed, so it is with regret that this review is not more positive, but the health, hygiene and safety issues impacted on the stay.
