Please note that fire guards are not provided and therefore guests choosing to use the log burner are doing so entirely at their own risk, also the cast iron mice on top of the wood burner are very cute but they do get very hot!
There is a 'Mud Wash' in the garden with a hot and cold water feed so that guests can wash muddy boots and shower muddy dogs please check that you are happy with the consistency and the temperature of the water before standing your pet directly in it's flow.
The patio does get slippery when wet so please be careful especially in bad weather conditions.

My cat loved The Stables she was so content and happy and a big thank you to the hosts Nat and Dan for providing some treats not just for us for for her too. She loves Dreamies! The Stables is a lovely location if you love being in the country. The facilities in the house are good and the rear yard is great to sit out in and because it is secure it meant our cat could go outside for some fresh air too. Nat was on hand to answer any quick questions and was very helpful.

I cannot say nice enough things about the Stables. Accomodation was wonderful, cosy and homely with an extensive welcome pack. It has been decorated to a very high level and it's clear a lot of care and attention has gone in to everything. The hosts had provided everything we could hope for and communication from them prior to our stay was friendly and first class. And when they say this place is dog friendly, they take it to another level of welcoming. Fantastic doggy bundle of bowls, blankets and treats to make the pups comfy and happy through our stay. Highly recommended by our hosts (and now us) was the Berkeley Arms where we had a great dinner on our first evening. We took time out to explore Belvoir Castle grounds and farm shop, just a 20 minute drive away, took in a quick drink at Round Corner Brewing in Melton before heading back home for a cosy night in front of the log fire. We also luckily timed our trip with Melton's 40s festival which was a real fun experience on the sunday. The Stables is genuinely one of the most welcoming and charming places we have ever stayed and we can't thank Nat and Dan enough for allowing us to share in this wonderful, charming and calming retreat.

A wonderful, cosy, peaceful cottage. We had set foot inside for 5 minutes & thought wow, its perfect. A lovely welcome box of biscuits, nibbles, drinks & treats for the doggo & lovely hand written card were so nice. The spacious outside area was lovely to sit & soak up the sun & the pooch loved being able to run about. Big doors open out to the garden let the outside in & being able to put your feet up right inside the door in the cosy lounge area was great. The weather was great & we walked to the local pub & that evening we listened to the rain & used the amazing kitchen to cook because we just couldnt not. Its modern, rustic, beautiful & charming. The bathroom has an enticing bath & hot shower & the bed is one of those beds where you just dont feel like you want to move & had the best sleep. For the dogs too, toys, chews, extra bowls & blankets & treats were so kind. Nat was on hand & went above & beyond. We wish we stayed longer. I cant recommend it enough.
